A small theater in Soldotna that offers advance ticketing and seat reservations during coronavirus times. A family member tried it out and invited us to see a movie in early January 2021. We all wear masks. Inside the front door there is a sign and a big bottle of hand sanitizer, and all who enter are asked to sanitize their hands. The theater staff did not wear masks, nor did patrons that came before us. We waited in our cars until the lobby and concession stand cleared out. Once inside, we were able to keep our distance from others; and, best of all, we had seats far removed from others. We enjoyed our experience and felt safe while in the establishment. read more

This is a good movie theater with excellent seating options (aka recliners) and you can reserve in advance. They were also open during Covid on limited hours, but nonetheless, they were still open. We get visitors from the lower 48 who still don't have the option of going to the movies because they have never reopened since March of 2019. It's a fun treat to be able to take visitors here for a family pastime favorite......going to the movies and the recliner's are top notch! read more

What a huge improvement! New general seating and some special recliner style seats in the front and back. More importantly, the smell is gone! This upgrade was needed and will definitely make this place more enjoyable. read more

The descriptor "plush seating" is used loosely here. For the traffic that comes through here and prices, they could really afford to replace the sagging and compressed seats which are lumpy and far from comfortable. They know they don't have to though, being the only theatre in town, but the Kambe 15 mins away in Kenai is nicer if you go a little further. Their saving grace is the staff who are all very nice and worked hard to keep the place clean (as clean as possible given the age). The concession stand is always well stocked and has fresh popcorn. In a nutshell: a $2 theatre charging full-prices admission. read more

It's a sub-average movie theatre for an average town. It only has two screens so it can only show two movies which is pretty lame. The only other theatre in the area is in Kenai near the airport which isn't much better than Orca. But if you're wanting to see a new movie in the Kenai/Soldotna area and not going to be in Anchorage anytime soon, this place will likely suffice. read more

Avoid like the plague. The rows of seats are placed too close together! Even if you are shorter than average height it is impossible to be comfortable on the seemingly cushion-less chairs. Not worth spending any amount of money, I recommend waiting for the movie to come out on DVD. read more

A small theater in a small town. Comfortable seats; clean. The Kid's Summer Movie Fun offers cheap morning movies -- which is a unique feature around here. The people offering two stars must be spoiled. There are only two theaters in the area, and they alternate blockbusters, so you take what you can get. Both theaters are in decent shape, and until we grow a bit larger, this is as good as it gets. read more
