The lobby has about 300 seats, but they definitively feel luxurious with a mix of leather seats, wooden chairs, and the usual utilitarian airport seating. There's a coffee shop, a bar, and a food stand. A beautiful curated display case with aviation memorabilia is among the seating. As I was on the last flight of the day, and it was delayed by several hours, the businesses were all closed so I can't attest to the prices or quality. One of the best parts of the airport are the washrooms. They are roomy all-gender washrooms so you can take in your luggage without having to struggle to fit them in the usual airport washroom stalls. The luggage conundrum is the worst part of traveling for me.

(Snoopy and the Red Baron would really enjoy a scenic "dog flight" in the skies above Puget Sound.) Airport webcams record the weather round the clock, year in and year out. Last winter I enjoyed watching the wings of a plane tethered near the runway...as several inches of snow piled on its wings. (Of course, I was far away in a sunny clime. I'm not sure I would have likedthe sight as much if I were sitting at the Spruce Goose waiting for the storm to pass over. )

So tiny it's perfect!!…read more So tinyyy, I went up and asked the TSA if they were open! So tiny, they go: take off your coat if you're comfortable. Keep the boots on if you want! Omg so tiny, it's like flying private! You even had to walk to the plane. Like private! Except it's not. I flew from here to avoid the TSA shut down and long waits.. totally worth it. No coffee or nothing! One bar inside that sells can beer and tiny wine bottles. Parking was right outside! $56 for a week! In the ice and snow, I'm not even gonna complain. So tiny it's perfect. Minus being bored to death, it takes all the stress out of going to an airport!!!

They repeatedly instructed me to go back and throw away my food--two or three separate times--even though my flight was about to depart. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the security staff told me, "We are not responsible if your flight leaves." However, they were the ones repeatedly sending me back and delaying me while I was trying to proceed through security. I found this completely unacceptable and extremely stressful, especially when I was at risk of missing my flight. I have travelled to more than 20 countries and through more than 30 airports, and this was by far the worst airport security experience I have ever had. I understand that security procedures must be followed, but passengers should still be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect. The behaviour of the security staff, including the security manager, was completely unacceptable. I strongly request that management investigate this incident and review the conduct of everyone involved. Security personnel should receive proper training in communication, professionalism, and respectful treatment of passengers. I sincerely hope appropriate action is taken so that other passengers do not have to experience the same treatment.
