I opened a "free" checking account here with the minimum balance. They assessed fees randomly. Then…read morethere was suddenly a paper billing charge. I went in, closed the account and was refunded and they said it was a "system error that should have been corrected." After closing the account, I started getting paper bills for "service charges," calling the number on the website got me transferred from branch to branch. Someone says they'll make sure I'm not charged and the account is closed, again; gee thanks I don't have an account with you so that would be swell. Ok if they've got say 10,000 members, and all of us got an "accidental" system error fee that was supposed to have been reversed for all customers, that would theoretically be $30,000 charged. Then they do that every month, system error fee of $3 and random paper billing of $3, that could be $60,000 charged "in error" in a month. What kind of bank is it? How much are they "accidentally charging" their customers? One has to wonder. Their rates on loans and savings are not comparable to my other bank. The loan application process for a vehicle was complex, with tight restrictions and a high interest rate. I do not recommend banking here.

Columbia Bank has the worst customer service. I have been a member since last year. I decided to…read moreuse them because I live in Depoe Bay and the Depoe Bay branch is convenient. What a mistake that turned out to be. I will travel to Newport or Lincoln City to do my banking from now on and not use Columbia Bank. Last weekend the Depoe Bay Columbia Bank ATM machine went down in the middle of my withdrawal. It took the money out of my account but did not give me any money. When I went in the bank on Monday to get my money credited back to my account it was like pulling teeth to get them to give me my money back. There is a big training issue with their employees because I got different answers about the process to get it back depending on who I talked with. When I left the branch on Monday I was assured that they will credit my account by Wednesday when they check their ATM. Well, it's Thursday and I still didn't get my money back. I went to the Depoe Bay branch and their Branch Manager told me now I have to wait 10 days for them to resolve the issue. She also lacked any kind of customer service skills necessary to run a bank, just plain rude. I closed my account and will never bank with Columbia Bank again. They are arrogant and just don't care about their customers. I am still waiting on them to send me the money they took from me. If you value your money I would think twice about using the Depoe Bay Columbia Bank location.

She wasn't just a medical agent when I moved her. She was a friend. Many times we got together and beyond that she always made sure my medical care was right. She's always taken time to call me back And she's always done so much for me. I would be so remiss not to include all this in my review. These days I know she's working incredibly hard just like everyone and it's so hard to keep up, but she is still doing so much for everybody. She asked us to sit back down and wait for Shane when he gets through with his client he was currently attending to.
