A Jack W. told us to come on in, he served us with a lot of enthusiasm and was all in all a wonderful person. He made our day better, I always recommend five guys because it has some solid fries and shakes, but Jack made it a whole lot better. He served with a smile and you can just tell he is enjoying life, we need more of him in other places! The fries were good as well, my partner said they were pretty high up there. The food was insanely good, bar one minor caveat I'll get to in a minute, and I've quite literally never had anything so good with a burger than their tempura battered courgette chips. Also, we got some sweet potato fries and they were the crispiest, best seasoned sweet potato fries I've ever tasted. The only note I can make against the experience is that the burger, whilst not overcooked in the bun with the relishes etc, the meat was cooked through and would have been perfect had it been a little pinker in the middle. The guy working with her was also rude to me. If you've had a bad experience at Mick's, consider looking at this. (There are other reviews regarding two other women also but there are multiple ones regarding the same behaviour I experienced with this particular woman specifically). So we told manager and she did sort it out and I was right in my theory that when we asked for fresh they just seemed to put chips back in fryer and burgers with popcorn which they should of not done. But the manager fleticity got us all fresh ones and they were alot better, as she explained that they had new starter which she never knew what to do properly. Absolutely lovely kebab place in Portsmouth. Have never been into the shop itself, have always got…read morethings delivered, but everything ordered has been delivered quickly and courteously, and we've never had an order delivered wrong - all of our preferences are catered for and on the odd occasion I've forgotten to mention something they've been happy to sort it for me before they send the order out. The food is brilliant, with the lamb shish in particular being gorgeous - obviously fresh, good quality and just-chargrilled - and the salad is crisp and fresh also. The chips have got better recently too; at first they were quite soggy and almost inedible, but somehow this has got fixed recently and they're bloody lovely! My only real gripe is that they won't take cards or even a cheque, everything is cash only, and you can't order from places like Just-eat or whatever which makes things a little inconvenient as I don't usually carry cash around. Given how good the food is though, I can't complain too much?
