Destroyed the wooden floor with paint and wrecked the ceiling. He was just awful and I have the photos to prove it. I wouldn't let him near a dog kennel never mind anyone's home. The only reason he got a one star is because I wasn't allowed to submit my review without one.

Top quality clothing at, admittedly, top quality pricing, but the experience is well worth it. They know their products and they know and stock, only, the best. Best of all, John Mullaney, seems to know as much Irish-American history as anyone in Ireland and is happy to share his knowledge with his customers. I will return to the Mullaney Brothers, most probably via their internet site, to add to my small collection of Irish woolens, most of which are made from fairly local wool. There are hardly any top notch, independent clothiers left in the states anymore and a visit to Mullaney Brothers is not to be missed when in Sligo. It's a real treat to do business with a first class clothier. Warning: bring money.

Sligo is my nearest so call in around 11am on a weekday morning. Not a small store and reasonably tidy for my first visit after what I had heard about other Tk Maxx. Plenty of staff around but it's a kind of biblical system of retail ie "Seek and ye shall find". Found a nice ski jacket after about 5 mins but then the searching started. Staff were pretty helpful and after about 45 mins I had as much as I could get ski gear related. Thermal socks, long johns, pants, goggles, gloves and the jacket in a different colour (saving me another €30! with just a change in colour). Overall not a bad experience. Would take a bit of getting used to but as I was on a mission for that type of clothes they either had it or not. Not sure if I would just head in again aimlessly. Friendly girl on the check out made the whole experience worthwhile.
