The staff and atmosphere every one you go in is always friendly and laid back. The staff let you know whats what and then just leave you to it. Came here for a meal with my boyfriends mum and wanted just a quick salad and pizza before we headed back to Manchester. Got a massive meat feast and as much salad as we could stuff in our greedy little mouths. Service and food were all excellent would definitely come back here :)

It is still great. It was quite busy for lunch, but I didn't have to wait especially long to get served. I ordered lamb handi on the bone with rice and nan and it was fantastic. And a mango lassi on the side was a tasty dessert. I learned last year that even though I usually enjoy very hot and spicy dishes, (Hunan, Mexican, etc.) "Very spicy" at this restaurant goes well beyond my normal experience. I ordered Medium Spicy this time and it was still hot enough to satisfy my love of heat. The staff were friendly and very attentive to match the good food. It's now going to be a definite stop on all future visits to the area.

It's a little out of the way and so you do have to plan to go here and allow transport there and back, but I'm not a massive drinker anyway so being our DD is normally ok with me - especially when good food is involved. I had the Minestrone soup to start which was absolutely lovely and then the Calzone for mains as I wanted filling up after a 10k run earlier that day! On arrival we spent some time perusing the menu in the separate bar area. I ordered cod and spicy sausage. The others had fish kebabs.For starters, we shared white bate and a garlic bread. I thought my cod was a little underdone but the food was generally tasty. Service was freindly and attentive. We asked for advice on wines and the waiter gave us some good advice on a dry Italian white. They also have (which we also had-hic!) a Valpollicella ripasso, both of which were great. For desert we had the cheese board which came with plentiful crackers. Overall, this was a good local Italian. The one slight downside was a slightly off putting smell of cooking oil wafting from the kitchen. Maybe some machine wasn't working properly. Only a minor issue though.
