Both times I have had steak and it's been excellent. The house red is rijoca and it's my favourite red wine and it's only £15 a bottle. My partner has a taste card so it's two for one on starters, mains and dessert so great value for money. They even give you an ice cold lemonchello after your meal which is a nice touch. I won't go as far as to say this is restaurant quality but it's as near as you are going to get for a local pizza parlour. The extra hot Ring of Fury and slightly milder Ring of Fire are particular favourites of my partners as he is a chilli aficionado! The Godfather will not disappoint you meat lovers but do try the curly fries .. They aren't gourmet but they are tasty! I haven't tried there pasta options.. I personally see little point in ordering pasta when it's so easily made at home but I'm sure if the pizza I'd anything to go by they are yummy to! Apparently many years ago this was an Italian restaurant, and has then changed hands several times since. It's now under new ownership and is technically a "Mediterranean" restaurant, but the menu leans very heavily towards Italian with lots of pizza and pasta options. The lunch menu is basically the same as the evening menu, but with reduced prices for the pizza and pasta dishes. I went for the "Red Cat pizza" - chicken, pesto and mushrooms. Very nice, but the base was a bit tough for my liking (although I may have been spoilt by a recent trip to Naples!). My mum had the linguine bolognese which she absolutely loved, and my dad had chicken and mushroom pasta. My dad isn't normally a fan of foreign cuisine, but he absolutely loved this and raved about how good it was. We also shared a bottle of wine which was very nice indeed. Staff were very friendly and attentive, prices were very reasonable (3 main courses, plus garlic bread, a bottle wine and three coffees for under £50) and the food was very good.
