Finally!!! My favorite foot massage therapist in the world is the owner of his own spa! I had been following Ken around town as he worked for several places, but he now has an established location after taking over ownership of Oriental Massage. Congratulations, Ken!! There's something about his technique that truly puts you in a deep state of relaxation. This elevates him to the level of an artist - he has a lighter touch than most Traditional Chinese reflexologists but still hits all the acupressure points with just the right amount of pressure. Mostly because he's very mindful about helping alleviate your tension, has a gentle spirit, a light touch and is very easygoing. Due to my neck injuries I've literally had regular massages every where I go, and I've had massages all over the world. Ken is my favorite foot reflexologist because he has a unique style and technique that is unlike the others - your run-of-the-mill reflexologist will go through the motions but they're not paying attention to how you're responding to the massage. Ken is attentive and has fluid hands with a soothing touch. Book a 1 hour foot massage, or better yet 90 minutes and you'll see why I followed him from one spa to the next. He's talented, humble, and won't talk your ear off. You go there to relax and you'll leave refreshed. He and his wife are genuinely nice. My experience at this clean and professional massage place was most pleasant and my low back pain and constant tightness in my torso went from a 5 to a 0 in an hour! The room was warm, the music relaxing, Ken and his wife were both attentive to my needs, made me feel comfortable, didn't talk too much, but was polite. I will go again, absolutely! I LOVE these guys. Just moved to Redding, knew I'd miss my reflexology people in LA - went to another place in town, no strength at all. First time I went here my back had really been hurting for two days from an inherited mattress I bought off the old roommate when I took her room - I did a half hour just back, I think $40? With I think it was Hannah - AMAZING. She knew exactly what she was doing, so strong, no more pain. Was just generally feeling sore all over today, (I really need a new mattress) I never spend this kind of money on massage, but I did it anyway - one hour full body, $60. I had Yung (sp?) this time, SHE was amazing!!! Also so strong, took a little over the time I think, nothing felt - fluff. Everything was so good. I love them. So glad I found these ladies. Ps! Both the bad reviews for this place I notice are clearly from people expecting those (in my opinion pointless) American massages who basically pet you while you take a nap. They say you can't judge a book by it's cover and that definitely applies to this treasure! My mom and I decided to get massages on a whim this afternoon and were so glad we chose this place. The women who run this business are kind, accommodating, and are wonderful massage therapists. I usually prefer stronger deep tissue massages but at 39 weeks pregnant I needed special considerations. They called Linda who came in on her day off because she has experience with prenantal massage. Emma gave me an extra little back and head massage in a chair while we waited for Linda, and it was heaven! She is strong and knows exactly where to work magic. The pressure was good for me but I was worried that it might be too hard for my mom who usually prefers lighter Swedish massages. All we had to do was let Emma know about mom's preferences (via the receptionist who speaks great English). Mom said it was a wonderfully relaxing massage and didn't hurt at all. Linda did an amazing job with my maternity massage. We will definitely go back!! read more

Made an appointment and presented to the lady at the desk with what was given to him at the time of purchase and because they were out of official cert. they gave him the sales slip attached to a business card with my name on the back. So if you like serious deep tissue...this is the place to go! This lady has personal issues with knots! I mean...she finds one...she won't let go...I thought she was beating it to death!!! I almost had to fight her off my knots..lol. She did a very good job...I know I won't be able to move tomorrow...but that's what I get for asking for very deep. I had a great experience as I called and she got me right in. I was only interrupted once and it was only for 60 seconds at the most. Very bad. i did a massage with my boyfriend and the lady had him and the man was massaging me. He rubbed inappropriately in areas that are off limits. IN FRONT OF HIS WIFE. mind you. we did a couples massage. He is disgusting. I told my boyfriend afterwards and I went in the car and my bf talked to the guy and lady but unfortuantely the lady didn't speak much English and the guy was telling her to leave the room so she didn't find out what he did ! I just got done with the combo massage, half hour feet and half hour back. I have never had an oriental massage but let me tell you it was phenomenal! The ambiance there is more like that of a nail salon, but the massages are resort quality! I was very hung over after a long night of drinking and sleeping in a bad position. These ladies made my whole body tingle with delight! They really know what they are doing. Went for a couple'S massage with my husband. Took the 90 minutes massage. 1. It was not 90 minutes, they massaged only for 70 minutes out of which they were going in and out 4-5 times to do other things 2. It was ok massage for me but horrible for my husband. He asked 4 times to reduce the pressure but the masseur didn't and he was very uncomfortable and disappointed after the massage 3. It's too pricy do the quality. Disappointed is the best way to sum this place up after seeing two other couples leaving great reviews. I went in for a deep tissue massage, I was seen right away as they didn't have any other appointments when I walked in which was convenient. However it went down hill from there. First the masseuse was the only worker in the place, so when two other customers walked while I was already getting my massage anytime she heard the door chime she would stop mid massage to attend to the walk in customers. Who does that, you don't interrupt a massage. I literally was on my phone for ten minutes while she was away. Even she apologized, and said she would make up for it with extra time. That didn't happen, as we finished exactly the scheduled time guess she forgot. This place needs to fix their staffing issues, or put a sign up busy with customer please come back at such and such time when you typically know how long the massages will take place. Second, this is the first time a place didn't ask me if I had any sore areas, or any back problems. I had a lot of knots in my shoulders, I would have gladly skipped the weird scalp scratching and having someone's fingers in my ears. Absolutely bizarre with some techniques. I also didn't particularly care for the weird face massage. Won't be back. I still left a tip even though I probably shouldn't have, I just can't believe the service. read more

Wow! I'm visiting from Sonoma County and what a find! My boyfriend and I did a couples massage and they did such an amazing job. My guy got whupped at basketball all weekend (tournament in town) and my sciatica was killing me from sitting in bleachers. The ladies were real pros. We were groaning the whole time from joy. This just happened to be next to Nellos Italian place where we ate dinner (another wonderful find). I haven't had such a great massage in several years. I went there today and got a 30 minute massage for $40. The massage was so so.While I was getting my massage she had to answer the phone.Came back in about 2 minutes and then a person came in and she left to talk to him ,another minute gone from my massage. My massage started at 1:30 and was over at 1:55.She did not look happy when i did not tip her. But in fact she got a $10.50 tip.That is what I paid for 8 minutes when I should of been getting a massage and was not. Also the girl on her ad at Crig list is not her. read more
