The food was super fresh and tasty so nothing to fault at all. There is tonnes of chairs outside and the decor is all mismatching and gives the place a very relaxed feel. My wife did not - she just got a couple of a la carte items, and we both got a croissant. I'm going with 5 stars for a couple of reasons. One, coffee was excellent. My cappuccino was delicious, but every one of them was during this trip. Second, it's hard to find an american breakfast - it just isn't their thing. Third, the eggs and bacon were very good (but it was just scrambled eggs and bacon). Fourth, the croissant was delicious. Maybe I'm just so happy to have gotten a regular breakfast. The shop is very nice and seems like a great place to work if you need to. Its spacious and the staff was very friendly. I'd make it a stop on your trip if you plan on having breakfast that isn't just a baguette.

Salad was seasoned with base of balsamic vinegar and basil pesto on top. In this very meat-heavy country, I was glad to find something I could eat (and enjoy). I got 2 sandwiches - one with chicken, lettuce and tomato, and one with ham. I liked the ham one better than the one with chicken, but they were both good and the bread and ingredients were very fresh. The ham one had butter, the ham was spicy and flavorful, and I wanted more after it was done. The sandwiches were 4.80 euros each, which was totally reasonable. The baked goods were even better, as I got the chocolatine (chocolate croissant), for around 1 euro and it was super flaky, with many layers, and the right amount of chocolate inside. I wish I could have eaten 2 of them. We also got a tarte aux pommes (apple tart) which was equally as delicious: flaky, not too sweet, with a decent amount of sliced apples on top. I wish I could have tried more of their things, but really glad I had a chance to try a variety of savory and salty things. I would definitely come back here again and recommend it if you're in Bordeaux.

They used no artificial colorants, everything is made fresh.
