I went here once for breakfast and it was mediocre. A baguette with butter and jam, fruit, house juice that tasted like canned fruit, and yogurt. Honestly not worth it and not good. There are better places to eat in Bordeaux. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE. We went to Bordeaux two weekends ago for my friends 30th and given that there were seven women, brunch is a given. I had saved a few places on Yelp and this one had a lot of hype, but somehow still exceeded expectations. For those who don't speak French, have no fear, because they display their actual dishes on the counter for all to see. Everything they had made my mouth water but I ultimately decided on the egg burger; which was a poached egg with bacon, veggies and cheese, and was sandwiched between two delicious pieces of focaccia. On the side was a nice mashed potato, more veggies (which they could have left off) and as a fun twist, paprika popcorn! I enjoyed my dish immensely as did everyone else in the group. After our mains we went back inside to take a peak at the pastries. We had such a hard time choosing so ended up selecting a variety for everyone to share. My absolute favourite was this crumble thing - truly to die for. Very close runner ups were the carrot cake cupcake and the honey buttercream cake. Oh and also the lemon square. Basically all of it. So in conclusion, if you are in Bordeaux you must have brunch here, or at the very least stop in for a coffee and a pastry. Hope to return! read more

The staff went above and beyond to make out first meal in Bordeaux comfortable and it doesn't hurt the food was prepared well. We had the curry soup and beef tartare which were both delicious! Would recommend to anyone with only a short stay in the city! read more

Very popular brunch spot on a Sunday! The brunch is a set menu. A tasty assortment of bread basket, couscous salad, granola, ham, cheese, baked beans, veggie frittata, and yogurt. I have food allergies with milk/cream/dairy so no yogurt or cheese for me and also cranberry which was in the granola and scones I very carefully picked out some of the craisins out of the granola but got tired of doing that. The frittata, ham, couscous salad, baked beans, baguette and lemon poppyseed muffin were plenty so I still had good things to eat. I was a bit sad I couldn't eat the scones because they looked tasty and were warm. The free servings of coffee is nice though. read more

My mum and I went to Bordeaux for 3 days and the last day I toke her for a brunch. We went to this place and we loved it! The brunch was delicious, healthy, well presented and we ended so full that we had to take away the sandwich and the muffin (the muffin or le gateau was soooo good! You have to try the muffins in here if you are a muffin-fan and if you like them simple, as I do. Do not expect muffins with a lot of filling variety or with a lot of decoration, no, they are simple and delicious!). We really enjoyed our lunch. We stopped in around 1130 before the apparent mid week rush lunch hour. We were greeted warmly by an English speaking hostess/cashier/barista who was behind their counter who explained the process to us and we chose two of their specials which were both fresh and delicious. Ahhh Plume Kitchen... Writing this review takes me back to Bordeaux. Sadly I was sick most of the time I was there but Plume was one of the few places I really got to enjoy. My wife and I (she is French, I am American) went to Plume. The wait staff heard us discussing what we wanted to eat in English and immediately sent for their English speaking waitress. She came out around the counter to ensure that we understood exactly what each of the items on offer were. The entire staff was helpful and friendly as we enjoyed our meal. We found the selections to be both fresh and delicious. The taste combinations were interesting and pleasing to my quickly recovering palate and the wine selections were simple but delicious. Moreover, the wine was hand selected to work with the food and our waitress was able to make excellent suggestions. I will happily return to eat here when visiting family in Bordeaux! read more

Perfect spot for lunch while you are touring Bordeaux. Fresh, great tasting food with quite a range and very well worth the price. We went there for breakfast and by chance we ordered the classic breakfast with gratin eggs (cocotte). The classic breakfast was beautifully served but mostly just ok. Had lunch at Plume. I wanted the burger but since they do all the food prep offsite they had sold the last one prepped for the day. Opted for the pasta with veggies and a soft egg on top. The food is fresh and tasty, as are a lot of options in the city of Bordeaux. The small place was packed and they are one of few cafes that offer a proper brunch. Bob Bourg et Giles rocked La Galerie restaurant in Blaye, Bordeaux, last night for hours...local artists, winemakers (vignerons), and Blayais (residents of Blaye) ducked out of the rain and in for a great dinner and glasses of wonderful local wine and craft beer. They played 60's, 70's, and 80's music - keeping crowds in this intimate locale applauding and rockin' until midnight. The acoustics in La Cave - centuries old arched limestone - helped tunes reverberate through the evening. This was an evening that blended high energy music with mellow residents who have been busy with the local vendange - or wine grape harvest. Bravo! read more
