We initially ended up at the Hermitage campground (after dark pulling a 38' fifth wheel) and couldn't find out spot. There was a park ranger that was driving around and lead us to the Pittsburg site and we were thankful for his assistance. Filling the fifth wheel with water was easy as the water supply was located in a large area near the entry. Check in was a breeze as it was done with your mobile. I do wish the campsite itself was longer and had more parking. The site barely fit the fifth wheel and truck on the paved area and there's no parking in the grass, so we had to park our second vehicle near the entrance with available parking. Backing in a fifth wheel in a pitch-black campsite is always fun, but thankfully it only took 1 try. The site had a covered picnic table and lots of shade which was nice. Out site was a bit far from the bathhouse so it was a trek to shower/use facilities. We used the camper most of the time, but without water hookup, tried to use the water in the tank more sparingly for dishes and cooking. There was a nice little playground area with equipment for the kiddos. The beach was nice sized and some had trees so you didn't burn up in the sun. If you hit the beach, bring water shoes because it's very rocky and they are sharp. For $25 a night, I was satisfied with the campground and enjoyed the time with my family.

For that I dont mind driving an hour each way to drop and pickup my boat.

When I did get it out the live well not fixed anb motor idled so rough I could barely get it off the trailer. Took it back in early February told Barry I had to have the boat back by February 13 because February 14 I had an appointment to get my FFS installed. Told no problem. 13 the I came by boat still not done. Picked it up for other appointment back on Friday. Tuesday get a call telling me they finally figured out they needed to order parts. Friday finally done. Asked Barry why it wasn't fixed right the first time and he asked me if I never made a mistake. I seen on the wall a sign saying shop rare $135 per hour. Asked him if that's the best help he can get for $135 Clueless

We rented an Airbnb close in Osage Beach near the bridge the end of September and looked for a…read morefishing boat to rent for a day or two that was nearby. Calling and checking on prices, The Getaway was the first that appeared to be interested in working with me and patiently explained they didn't do little (we were a party of five) fishing boats anymore. We ended up getting a new Tritoon that could probably hold a dozen persons, no problem. Secured our fishing licenses and found the rental location where a young man was waiting with a side-by-side, willing to haul our gear down to the dock. Checking in was smooth and easy, instructions were given, and directions and ideas shared on the best areas to fish. Well, the fishing wasn't great, although we changed location a few times, and we hoped to stop at a dockside restaurant, so returned the boat a bit early so we wouldn't go over our allotted time. The Tritoon performed beautifully (hair trigger on the throttle), powerful motors, shade, pockets for storage. They were right--the Triton was very stable, waves no problem. Expected to pay for gas in addition to quoted price but apparently overlooked or forgot about the cleaning fee. The young man hauled our gear back up the hill. Would love to return with a larger party and really have some fun.

She started talking bad about a different customer in front of me and my fiancé, which is just really unprofessional. The few encounters we had with her (upon pick up and drop off) was just unpleasant. The other staff were great and super helpful. The boat was disappointing. Only 1/6 speakers worked and we had a hard time getting it started a few different times. For over $700 for the day, I guess I was just expecting a boat that was fully functional / working. The boat was called 'the misty' Not sure if we will return here
