They took care of removing large overgrown shrubs in front of our house with an excavator, Rob redesigned the yard using a video demonstration beforehand which looked outstanding, the crew laid new bordering, expanding the beds, replaced all soil and added weed-preventing landscape fabric and landscape rock, and added several palms, small shrubs, and several items of color that were mostly maintenance-free at our request. Some landscape companies will take what you request and twist them to convince you to use certain plants that turn more of a profit for them, but not Leafy Landscapes. They'll work with your request and do everything to make it happen, offering some expert guidance along the way, but not hard-selling toward something else. What I like most is that Rob and his crew are expert at landscape and landscape design and have been involved in horticulture for many years, so they know what works and doesn't work in a central Florida landscape. I hired these guys about two years ago and it's been a constant struggle to get them to do the job…read moreright, anywhere from breaking sprinkler heads that they didn't report or repair to killing most of my garden with "weed control". Chris manages the bussiness and only cares about charging for services that are done very poorly or not at all. I travel out of state and without fail always find an unpleasant surprise with my garden and lawn when I get back home, from big swaths of dead grass and plants due to broken sprinkler heads and not getting water to the most recent disaster where I asked them to do weed control,, and unfortunately, their technician sprayed all of my plants and killed most of them. Kiefer, Chris's assistant Inspected the property and acknowledge that they had screwed up and killed a lot of plants. He promised to replace them, but now two weeks later and nothing. I talked to Chris about this and his reply was "we'll schedule it when we have time and the plants are cheap enough to buy". I'm afraid I'll have to seek legal action against these people to get resolution. They simply don't care. Do yourself a favor and find a more responsible Landscape company to take care of your lawn and garden.

In coming out for a first look and project estimate, the manager was on time, pleasant, professional and knew her stuff. The first project was to remove destructive trees and plants and their root balls away from the pool to prevent damage to the concrete and so that a cage could be built. I was kept informed of scheduling and timing, especially when the weather pushed things back a bit. The crew came with a great attitude, despite the heat, and removed the trees and plants, and transplanted some of them to increase my privacy screen. They really worked hard and got everything done with little mess. I can't wait to get Blue Turtle back for part 2...replanting the yard when all of the other construction work is completed.

If you're not familiar with that term, it basically means that that the entire yard is filled with stones/gravel instead of grass. This is a very popular yard design in very hot and dry states such as Arizona, but we live in Florida, so I wanted grass! As if having a yard made of rocks wasn't bad enough, there were also multiple flower beds that had just deteriorated over time and looked terrible. Trying to keep these beds weed free was a full time job and I quickly got tired of trying to stay on top of it. By the time we decided to find a company to completely redo the whole yard it was a total MESS! The rock was all uneven, and the flower beds looked more like weed gardens, or maybe more like a small jungle. This was going to be a huge job. I found Landscaping by Justin on Facebook and called him out to do an estimate. He showed up fully prepared. He measured the back yard and discussed different options with us. Once we decided exactly what we wanted to do, he took down the information and told us he'd get back to us with an estimate. Within the next couple of days we received the estimate. I was quite impressed with how professional he was with getting our estimate put together. It didn't take us long to decide that this was who we wanted to give us a new beautiful yard. He showed up each day right on time, very punctual! Our back yard has zero shade and it was so hot everyday he was here. This did not stop him from working hard everyday to ensure the yard came out better than what we could've even imagined. He kept us updated each step of the way. I cannot speak highly enough about Justin's work ethic and professionalism. After three days of hard work, Justin presented us with a beautiful back yard that we can finally be proud of. It came out perfect! I'm so happy with the end result and thankful to Justin! Palm branches laying on the roof, overgrown shrubs, weeds everywhere, debris still out there from the last hurricane / tropical storm... As I was thinking about this and pulling in to the 7/11 parking lot, I spotted a truck with a "Landscaping by Justin" sign on it. The truck looked well kept, and the gentleman getting out of the truck had clearly put in a hard day's work. I figured this is a sign if ever I saw one. I asked him for his card and called him a few days later. Justin stopped by the house that evening on his way home to see what I wanted done. He was there within a week and my house looks fabulous! I couldn't be more happy with the results of his efforts. He did exactly what he said he would do, and the house looks better than I thought it ever could. We have used Becks several times but this last order we got much less than we paid for. We ordered…read moreand paid $375.00 for a 30 gal Sundown orange Bouganviella tree to be installed. We were told it would be a single stalk and the available ones were 8 to 10 ft. tall. We were told it would be about 1 to 2 weeks for it to be delivered from a more southern nursery. After 5 weeks (and many phone calls and excuses) we get it delivered and it is only 5 feet tall and a 4 braided vine stalk. We sent it back and were told the next day that is the only option we have. There are no more available. We decided to take it but before it was delivered it apparently fell over and one vine broke off. Jeff told my wife they would provide a discount. It was installed the next day but when they planted it (after digging a huge hole), they easily pulled out the 3 gal root bound base which had recently been replanted into the much larger 30 gal container!! NOT what we were expecting from Becks. Three calls to Penny in the office asking for a call back and NO ONE has called. This was a dishonorable way to treat customers and we no longer recommend this nursery.
