When I first signed up they were great. Eric who was manager at the time assured me they would take care of my yard. But starting in July 2025 my yard got large brown spots from cinch bugs. They blamed me for lack of enough water but two other companies assured me my irrigation is fine. I pay a year in advance. The office manager has sent rude emails to me. I hired a different pest control company and tried to cancel with 5 Star and they just informed me if I cancel now (my contract is up in December) that they would take away my 5% discount for paying a year in advance and would owe them. Not sure what's changed in the company but in the last year they went from the best around to the worst. Despite regular treatments, my lawn never greened up this summer. The grass was noticeably greener just beyond where they stopped spraying. Then I had suspicious dead patches forming. After trying to cancel multiple times, they would send a "manager" out to take a look and each promised that they would bring the lawn back to its previous splendor. They did not. In fact the dead patches increased in size and abundance. And after killing my lawn they insisted on payment. I have to recommend you stay clear of 5 star. read more

Id give less than 1 star, but you have to select a star to continue on. Been with 5 star lawn and pest for years over 17 years. Nowhere as good as they used to be. They have been seeing my green ($) but I have not seen their green for over a year now. Been as patient as I can with them. I've been sharing my concerns with their office, lawn techs, and owner. All three of them have been giving me excuse after excuse w/ no resolutions. I have thin yellowing, dying areas, and the sedge weed is striving. 5 Star does a great job, they come out spray the whole front and back yard. If any thing should pop up after they have sprayed you call them and they come back and rectify the problem. I got referred to them by another existing long time client. Since I've been with 5 Star my grass is very thick and green. I have been with them now 2 years. Chance my representative who actually does the maintenance/spraying is a great guy and he's a veteran, always smiling and explains everything in detail. They always call the day before they come to spray. My only con is that it is expensive/pricey. As the saying goes "you get what you pay for". I am happy so I will stick around with 5 Star lawn and pest control. Thank you for keeping us green and weed free. read more

On June 4th I sent notice to them of the services I required. As of today, June 17th, they still have not even responded to my notice.
