Was there for 20 yrs, then all of a sudden prices doubled, tripled for meds, went elsewhere.

My dog, Ginger, got her shots and exam at this vets 2 months ago, she was scheduled for a follow up…read moreshot and we were told it would be done by a technician and there would be no exam needed, since she just had one done. We had to rebook the appointment since she wasn't feeling well. We brought her in with our other dog who was getting her shots and yearly exam at the same time. I was charged for shots and exams on both dogs. I called to let the office know of the over charge. I was told it wasn't an overcharge, that their GOVERNING BODY, will not allow them to let a technician take care of the appointment. They never told me this before charging me. When i booked the appointment I was guaranteed I would not be paying for a vet for Gingers care. The Veterinarian also did not preform a full check on Ginger, only giving her a quick rub down, no ear checks nothing, she never even noticed she had a sore paw, just a quick rub down, and an extra $100 bill, that again I was guaranteed earlier I would not be paying. Like many vets now a days it appears they have chosen to scam their patients and then blame the scammed payment on their Governing Body. It wasn't the governing body giving me an estimate. I wouldn't recommend this vet or return there

Also, for vaccinations without examination they're taken in a room with other pets and owners aren't allowed to enter? so inconvenient since we want to be there for our pets for moral support. Terrible experience. Besides a lack of knowledge about my breed of cat, they seem to have issues…read morewith cleanliness. I took my infant kittens to them for routine vaccinations and a few days after taking them home they got horribly sick. I called in a panic about them because their faces had become swollen, they had sores in their mouths, they had breathing issues and one of them was sneezing blood. They refused to make an appointment to check on them and told me to find another vet although they know I do not drive (I live close to their clinic). They gave me the advice to give the kittens human allergy medicine and then to wait and see if they got worse. I tried to insist that this looked like a bacterial or viral issue but they did not listen. I ended up having to walk with all 6 of my cats/kittens plus my three kids for nearly an hour to get to the only vet that would take this many animals short notice. This vet then told me that they had contracted something called the Calicivirus, something they only could have picked up at Aspen springs, as I had the kittens separate from each other for two weeks prior to the vet visit but they all got sick simultaneously, followed by the other cats in the household. Their negligence cost me over 2400$ in accumulated vet bills, hours of sitting awake to care for them by hand, and even then, it nearly killed the kittens. Their mother was rescued while pregnant and I felt terrible that she was forced to continue caring for three kittens while sick herself (she did great btw- such a sweet mama cat) They promised to call to check on them, but they never did. Quite a while later, they sent me a text message asking to make another appointment for their next vaccines. I replied to them (politely, might I add) explaining what had happened, how much it had cost me, and that I was worried to bring them back to their clinic. I have yet to receive any kind of response.

I had phoned last minute as our dog was sick and I was seen rather quickly.
