Perfect group of doctors they did my knee surgery thanks to Ortho Montana I , walk everyday and work out very normal

My knee injection was scheduled and performed. The aftercare response was nonexistent. Still waiting for a return phone call after leaving two messages and receiving one completely uninterested "we'll call you later" response. Still waiting four days later. One and done with these people. read more

We have been trying to get through to them for over a week and it's totally ridiculous that you have to wait 24 hours for a call back. I would never recommend having surgery here. The aftercare is absolutely horrible. read more

I had appointments with both Klepp and Yorgason for different issues. While Klepp immediately showed his bias and unprofessionalism Yorgason just sent a letter showing his. I went to Klepp who came highly recommended but is weight bias and made no pretense about it. Needing a special shoulder surgery, I went in expecting the awesome treatment I had received in Colorado but after speaking to me like I was a waste of his time and space Dr. Klepp said "So what do you need a shoulder for anyway"! Stunned I sat there not knowing what to say. As for Dr. Yorgason he did a quick evaluation on my severely painful ankle replacement and ordered a special scan. A couple of weeks after the scan I received a letter saying I'll give you a prescription for a shoe orthotic and go lose some weight that will solve your problem. I paraphrase of course. I called back and ask how I was supposed to proceed expecting some additional course of action and the nurse acted like, you got the letter. and you can come back in if you want to. We both knew what that meant. By the way I am fat but not 250 or anything like that. Two surgeons from the same facility both weight bias both showing contempt and unprofessionalism. I'll NEVER allow people like that to hold a scalpel over me. read more

If you can actually see a doctor they are great. However they don't answer phones or respond to calls. The only way I have found to be seen is to go to their walk in to make an appointment. The system they use is broken, they know it's broken and they don't fix it. You shouldn't have to drive all the way to their offices just to schedule to a time to return to be seen. read more

Trying to be seen at Ortho Montana for an ongoing knee problem ended in frustration. After having both hips replaced there and both surgeons I consulted had moved away, I called to consult before knee replacement. Since 2018 I've had steroid shots but they've quit working, so I am ready for replacement. I missed a call back from a scheduler, so I used the online schedule request, filling in data on screen. A robot called back, verified data, asked questions, then refused to schedule a consult with the surgeon, only a PA - a good guy, but not who I'm needing. Interaction at arm's length and to increase billable time seems the modern American medical formula. I'm not going back to Ortho Montana for anything unless every other option disappears. read more

Appointments and surgery went ok. My issue is with billing. Nothing more was done other than what was on their estimate and they missed it by 62%. Dont you guys do this every day? I had a shoulder injury 3 years ago that has turned into a disaster. I would not recommend Dr. Owen or Dr. Klepps for any kind of upper extremity problem. They only want to work with routine textbook problems. There is no aftercare for complications. There is no patient concern or caring. Just put you on the table, do the cutting and send you on your way. If you have complications or the symptoms aren't resolved, you are on your own. read more

I recently had total knee replacement at ortho Montana. Dr Groover was awesome. I have a great result. He was honest about the work I needed to put in to make his work work. I did my PT and at 7 weeks I am walking, golfing, swimming and feeling comfortable in my daily life. Everyone in this practice treated me well. read more

This week, on Tuesday, I was scheduled for an appointment with Dr. Tyler Clark at 9:45AM I arrived at 9:30 for the check-in process. So far, so good. Once checked in, I was left sitting in the waiting room until approximately 10:30 before I was escorted back to an examination room, where I was dumped for an additional hour without seeing the doctor, and not being checked on in the meanwhile. When Dr. Clark finally arrived he quickly escorted me to another room where the agreed upon surgical procedure was performed, and without further delay. Patients are expected to arrive on time, or ahead of schedule, but are not afforded the same courtesy by doctors or other staff. When there are unavoidable delays that inconvenience patients, patients should be advised as to what is going on, and at least the opportunity to reschedule their appointments. Staff should be retrained concerning time management. read more

Couldn't ask for better pediatric ortho care - Dr. Hansen and her team were amazing. Great with my 4 year old and they turned what could have been a scary experience (casting and then removal) into no big deal. Kind, patient, and efficient. read more

Everyone at Ortho Montana is friendly yet professional. They take excellent care of their patients! I would recommend everyone to go there.

Overall my experience with the staff was good. The wait time in the office was very minimal and the time with the PA very thorough. The process to actually be able to make an appointment left a lot to be desired. Made multiple calls and never got a call back until after I drove to the office to talk to someone in person, which was about 7 hours later. Very frustrating. read more

I just walked out of an appointment at ortho Montana due to their total lacking of Covid protocols. No temperature checks or mask requirements to get in the door. Other patients were either not wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly. Even the receptionist who checked me in was wearing her mask down below her nose. When I mentioned that her mask had slipped rather than pulling it up she just gave me a dirty look. The waiting area was very crowded. If this doctor owned business is so lax in their waiting room protocols I can't imagine subjecting myself to a surgery under their direction. read more

Lovely facility, terrible service and care. They don't answer the phone, so you have to play phone tag with them for a week or two to make an appointment. I traveled several hours for an appointment with a doctor regarding a very painful back problem and ended up seeing Jen Kerr, a physicians assistant with no empathy and horrible bedside manner. I did not receive quality care and left feeling defeated, discouraged, and that I had wasted my day. Perhaps thier $$ would be better invested in quality medical professionals rather then a fancy building. I'm thinking of sending them a bill for my wasted time and resources. read more

My appointment was with Mark Pierson, PA. From the moment he entered the room he was rude, condescending and not happy to be there. Made me feel as if I was wasting his time and basically said as much. He couldn't get me out of the room fast enough and was put out when I asked any questions. Horrible bedside manner. Will not see him again and will think twice before using Ortho Montana in the future. read more

I took my daughter to Ortho Montana today with Dr. James Elliot. The receptionists were super nice, as was the nursing staff. That is where my satisfaction ends. When Dr. Elliot entered the room he totally ignored me, the mother, and strictly spoke to my daughter. Never did we once see him wash his hands. His bed side manner was non exsistant. He acted like he had better places to be. read more

I have been trying to get an appointment for 2 days. Appointment scheduling is not rocket science. There is plenty of software available to not double book appointment a monkey could do it. Why am I leaving multiple messages for one individual who obviously is busy and can't handle the volume. HIRE MORE PEOPLE, or give someone that works there the ability to schedule appointments instead of just answering and transferring calls.. GET BETTER SOFTWARE to allow efficient appointment scheduling. You guys make plenty of money... read more

I would not recommend them. I had a horse riding accident that injured my upper arm/shoulder. It had healed to the point that I could use it as normal with limited movement towards the back. They diagnosed it as arthitis. Treatment plan was PT and after 20 days of that, was given a cortizone shot. 10 days later my arm was still swollen, movement was so limited and arm so weak I couldn't use it. I spoke to Dr. Marks nurse telling her that my arm felt like it was broken and I couldn't lift a coffee cup. Response? The doctor wants you to follow the treatment plan. Informed her again that wasn't possible as arm feels like its broken. Again she parroted the treatment plan. When I told her that wasn't possible, she offered to cancel my appointment with the doctor since I was refusing to follow the treatment plan. I agreed because if they are not going to address the adverse side effects of the cortizone shot, I don't think they have my best interest at heart. I currently, almost 4 weeks after the shot, cannot use my arm to lift anything, movement to the front and sides as well as the back is now impossible. I have severe muscle cramping and my arm is swollen. I have lost faith in the medical community so bought a sling and have to deal on my own. I can't afford to waste any more money and my condition is far worse than when I went in for my first visit. read more

I saw Dr McDowell for neck disk replacement. He was amazing!! Explained everything found on mri and X-rays in detail and provided answers to all my questions. The nurses were also great. The wait time to get surgery was actually really short which was wonderful. Only thing I can gripe about was wait time in reception area for first appointment. It was almost forty minutes but they had slid me in fairly last minute so even that isn't too bad. I've also had PT with them on the west end and it was a life saver. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. read more
