Had question on progress before the next appointment and i have called and left messages for the last 2 days with no call back. Made a 10:30 appointment for my husband with the DR. Got an email saying to check in 30 minutes early to take care of paperwork. Went at 10:00 AM. My husband has great leg pain and back pain and has for years. We were trying to check on the back as after a hospital stay he was told he had fracture in his back near L3-4. He is able to use a walker but tires easily and walking makes his pain worse so most often we use a walker/ wheel chair where he can push or sit and be wheeled. We were finally taken to a room about 11:00 AM. At 12:05 a PA came in and told us that everything on the X/ray looked to be healing and needed no follow up. When we asked where the Dr. was she said she had reviewed with the Dr. We are looking for a different Dr or group now. Somewhere that we can actually see a Dr. and not wait 2 Hours to see a PA. read more

You come in, a PT Assistant grabs you and starts you on your exercises, you might get a hello from your PT or not, then the Assistant will run to the long table they have set up with chairs for the PTs and Assistants to sit at where they can chat and laugh while you work out. Don't expect much personal interaction here with anyone. Pretty impersonal and automatic, so if that's your thing you will do well here. For me, personally, I'll take a pass. read more

Wouldn't recommend the 3rd Street office! I would rather go to the county hospital than to deal with the arrogant staff at this office. I literally waited a hour to see the doctor he rushed me thru the appointment, Dr Nicholas Grisoni and his MA Maria are horrible with returning patients calls addressing concerns. This review is for clinic on Alma School RD. I have never had a PT person, that walks away after they tell you what exercises to do. Then they gather with their PT buddies to talk and gossip. Many times, patients search the room for their therapist to get further instructions. Its so annoying. read more

This office is horrible at returning calls. I have tried to reach my doctor multiple times and do not get a response. I am not being unreasonable or mean. I just want a question answered without making another appointment since I was just seen by this provider within the past week. No response at all. This is totally unacceptable. I really feel bad for you if you have to go to OrthoArizona because of a workers compensation injury. The doctors at OrthoArizona do not have the say it is the insurance companies and the people who handle the claims that are in charge not the doctors. Something weird happened to me when I went to OrthoArizona. They changed my family history but I have copies of the information from the patient portal before and after they made the changes. So my advice, to you is to make copies of all your paperwork. Also when you get a chance you should read the notes from your visits. I did that. I was shocked because what they wrote down was not what happened when I was there. It was like I was reading about someone Visit, not mine. Make sure you read your visit notes at OrthoArizona it is really important. Oh I almost forgot to mention that after surgery at my follow-up I told the Dr/Surgeon that the vitamin D3 that was prescribed by him because it helps absorb calcium which is crucial for bones especially after breaking your hip. I told him I was almost out of the vitamin D3 which he replied, "No, you want vitamin D, sit in the sun." I was like, that is the most ignorant, asinine remark I have ever heard. To top it off I read his visit notes from that visit and he wrote, "patient stated she was out of vitamins and asked if he could prescribe them" LOL Do you see the spin and twists and play with words ? I posted a message in the portal with the true factual version of the visit titled Just to set the record straight. I made copies of it just in case they tried to delete it. read more

DO NOT TRUST DR. JASON LE. My mother is double jointed and has had her shoulder be out of place without a complete dislocation multiple times. When she said this at her appointment, he told her "It's either dislocated or it isn't". He was bouncing his leg the whole time, trying to rush us out of the office, told my mother she didn't need to wear her sling and gave her an exercise to do (straightening her arm and lifting it slowly in the air). 2 hours after we got home, my mom attempted the exercise and her shoulder completely dislocated. She was crying and sobbing from the pain she was in, and the only treatment option was surgery. She was terrified of getting surgery (as many of us are), but she had no choice. Unfortunately we didn't realize how badly he treated her until it was too late to file a formal complaint. If you feel like a doctor is not being patient and fair with you RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION BEFORE THEY MAKE YOUR CONDITION WORSE. read more

Absolutely the worst in terms of communication. I saw Dr Burgess on 12/08 for issues with my left wrist/hand. He ordered and MRI. MRI was done on 12/12 and I was told at the MRI lab that I would hear something within a week. Allowing for the Christmas holiday, I waited 2 weeks before calling for information. No one answered any calls, so left a voice message, expecting a call back. Called and left message again on 01/02. Again, crickets. No call back. I called again today (01/10) and was told that I needed to contact them to make an appointment. I guess I was just supposed to ignore the info from the MRI lab and somehow just know this. Great. Schedule me an appointment. Now I'm waiting 3 weeks to see the doctor. What a load of crap. Not happy about this and all I got from the scheduler is "that's how we do things, sorry you weren't told that". Really? I hope Kraig Burgess DO is better at doctoring than his "team" his at communicating. My recommendation is if you have an option for another doctor/clinic/office, take it. OrthoArizona is poorly run, and don't seem at all interested in making it easy to get treatment. Not happy, not that this office cares. I'm guessing that some idiot in the office was too lazy to check the details and assumed that the person in the office was me, even though we were born in different years. One stupid person in the office told me that the patient whose bills I'm receiving was born 8 years before I was. I guess the staff has never been taught about HIPAA. Don't give them your information!!! I called the "billing department" and spoke to someone after I received the first bill months ago. They told me to ignore the bill and said they would fix the error. They lied! I continued to receive bill after bill. These folks seem extremely stupid. Ever seen the Window Peak trail in Tucson outside of Sabino Canyon? It's a beautiful 15-mile hike up to the summit with almost 5,000 feet of gain. Highly recommended. You have to cross a river / stream a couple dozen times. Somewhere on Mile 10, I lost my footing on a fallen tree and fell down to the river below jamming my left index finger. And that's where Dr. Kraig Burgess comes into the equation... After 5 days, I had been hoping it was just a bad sprain. I went to my PCP who had a couple of x-rays administered and confirmed a piece of bone was displaced on my left index finger at the proximal bone. Not good. I have already had surgery on this left hand before so I am familiar with the process from start to finish. My PCP referred me to Dr. Kraig Burgess with OrthoArizona at their Arrowhead location and am so thankful he did! Their location is smack dab off 79th Ave. on the cusp of Glendale and Peoria near the Arrowhead Mall. Super convenient and easy to get you. It's in a fairly large medical / dental complex, but it's easy to find with plenty of signs and suite numbers spelled out for your convenience. My appt. was at 4 p.m. with a 3:30 p.m. check-in time which I adhered to. The receptionist / front office staff immediately greeted me and confirmed my name and appt. time. I gave her my ID and insurance card and I filled out their new patient paperwork. The waiting room is extremely clean with plenty of ample seating in case things get busy. I was called back by their medical assistant well before my appt. time which was awesome! I was placed into a patient room which was also very clean. I was only in the room for approx. 10-15 minutes before I was greeted by an x-ray technician. They obtained additional x-rays per the request of Dr. Burgess. I waited for about 15-20 minutes for Dr. Burgess to assess my new x-rays and he came in to greet me and discuss my index finger. I'll spare all of you the gory details, but he thoroughly and simply explained everything to me. I had plenty of opportunities to ask him the questions that I had to ask. He presented me with numerous options. He and his staff are friendly, courteous and they treated me like a human being rather than another case just to get through. It was an awesome experience and am pleased he assisted me AND I'm so thankful my PCP referred me to him! I'm glad I can see Dr. Burgess for all my ortho needs in the future! I absolutely would NOT hesitate to recommend Dr. Burgess with OrthoArizona to all my friends, family and fellow Yelp'ers! Don't Put your health and wellbeing in the care of Doctor Wong. I can only speak of my own awful experience with Dr. Wong only. I Broke my hip, and he was the surgeon on duty at hospital I was taken to by ambulance. Below is a list of my reasons why I say RUN as far away from this so called, Doctor. 1. Problems obtaining my medical records (X-rays, MRI, etc.) After finally getting records I went home and Put in the disc with requested images and the disc was BLANK, yup you read that correctly. BLANK. 2. Visit summaries are not accurate like it says things we discussed but were not. His notes also claim we went over imaging, but he never once did. I told him I was not happy that I had no Physical therapy no Occupational therapy and no home nurse until 5 weeks after being discharged from hospital. His notes have me saying 1-2 weeks, 3. A few weekends ago, I was in horrific Pain. Doctors so bad that I was about to go to the E.R. Doctors' office is closed till Monday. Sunday morning left a message explaining all that asking them to call me as soon as they hear my message. Never called me so I called them 5-6 times each time I explained the urgency the transferred me to another then they transferred me to yet another. The last Person I spoke with assured me someone will call me back ASAP. It has been 3 few weeks, and you guessed, still NO call back. Like I said, RUN as far away from this so called, Doctor. My friend suggested I see Dr Burgess after I injured my hand due to a fall. From the moment I walked in it was pleasant to be there. The receptionist was kind and professional as was the staff. Dr Burgess was great. He took time to listen to my complaints about the pain I am experiencing. He asked me questions accordingly. Had X-rays done there at the facility. If you have multiple choices from your insurer, choose the other orthopedic offices first. If you don't then I hope you don't have my experience. I met with Dr. Domer for a knee issue. He suggested an MRI which I got weeks later when I was able. I then called back and scheduled a telemedicine appointment to review the results. For that, I was told I would receive a text message with instructions. I blocked out my schedule 15 minutes prior to. At the appointed time I still had not received the message so I called the office. The scheduler said that she saw the appointment and that I should just be patient. So I waited another 20 minutes and still nothing. I called the office back and the scheduler tried reaching out to Dr. Domer's assistant Cheryl. After holding for quite a while, I received a VM from Cheryl saying tat I had 2 minutes to get on the call or else it would need to be rescheduled. I called her back immediately to share that I din't have the text message. Then shortly after the text message came through, 30 minutes after the scheduled call. I quickly completed the requested information and the system said I would need to wait for instructions via email. I called the office again and they said they were trying to reach Cheryl but had no luck. After 75 minutes of waiting I was told they could do nothing. I had placed 2 calls to Cheryl and still have not received a call back over 2 weeks later. The email from Cheryl with directions on how to join the call came through 1.5 hours after the scheduled appointment. I replied to Cheryl and still have had no response to that either. This is the recurring theme you'll notice. It was also obvious that the schedulers have no direct connection to the medical staff. After waiting a few days with no response, it was clear to me that Cheryl clearly didn't care about me. So I called back to request another doctor, John Bradway, who specialized in knees. I was told that I would need a transfer request approved before I could schedule an appointment. The schedule told me that this could take 5 days to approve. So, I patiently waited once again and on day 5 called to get an update on the status. At that time I was told that the scheduler couldn't see the status because she did not initiate the request. Apparently they can only see the requests they initiate and not those by others. She asked if I wanted to initiate another transfer. I said no and asked to speak to a manager. She connected me to her technical manager Michelle. I left a VM for her to see if she could help get me an update. I still have not heard back from her. This is clearly how they operate as you'll see once again later. Maybe they discuss it in meetings. "We are so busy...please do not return calls." I decided to wait a little longer. 2 days later I called back and luckily was connected to the person who did complete the initial transfer request. She was able to tell me that Dr, Bradway denied the transfer request and that they were looking to transfer me to other orthopedists. They did not communicate this proactively or ask if I would be interested in the other orthopedists. Nevertheless, I asked why it was denied. She said she couldn't tell me but offered to connect me with Dr. Bradway's assistant. Guess what happened? I left her a VM asking why it was denied and...still no call back. HOWEVER, I did call back and ask if Dr. Bradway is accepting new patients and was told that HE IS! Just not me. Maybe it's a professional doctor code not to accept patient transfers from others on the same team. Needless to say, I haven't seen such poor customer care probably ever. There was 0 proactive communication from their office to me on top of the lack of courtesy in returning calls. Their telemedicine system or Cheryl were clearly broken. It was probably Cheryl. So I paid the price for her mistake and she did not step up and own it. Therefore, I would recommend OrthoArizona as your choice of last resort. read more

OrthoArizona accused us of skipping out on a copay and refused to treat for two weeks, even after being shown proof of payment. Apology only offered by very low-level billing staff, and only after this apology was specifically sought out. And it took extensive work even to get that. Requests to speak to upper level management above the billing team were promised but not delivered. Apparently the surgeon that runs this entity thinks his responsibility as a business owner ends with his clinical work. read more

I had a rotator cuff tear and I was referred to ortho from the VA community care team. Dr Davidson performed the surgery. Dr Davidson is a great person and an outstanding surgeon. his office support are something else. From the beginning they took almost 2 months to get the insurance clearance from TriCare west. I ended up doing their job for them and gave them the information for them. My complaint is the total lack of taking responsibility for their failures. I began P/T and followed up with the first post surgery with Dr Davidson. I tried to set new appointments for P/T but was told they needed the follow up orders from the Dr. They told me they would call when they came in. two weeks past and during that time I was calling them. like I said their phone systems are no good or they just didn't care. They did not answer Emails or returned calls. needless to say, I will never go to them again. I cannot recommend them to anyone either. read more

Dr lake and his team have worked tierly to get me back on my foot again. I stroked 20 years ago, and unfortunately due to life, my one good leg sustained damage in a car accident. They went through all the options with me. We tried alternatives to surgery, but unfortunately my injury is requiring surgery. This will be my 2nd surgery on the same ankle, not the same injury. Great first visit/consultation. Dr. Burgess' NP, Tracy, was super friendly, on the ball, energetic, and sympathetic to my issue. Dr. Burgess was all that and a bag of chips, and took as much time as I needed to understand the problem and what I needed to fix it. Surgery was performed at the Banner Union Hills Surgery Center, and the entire staff from front office to wheelchair out the back door was fantastic! Couldn't have asked for a better experience considering it was "surgery". The nurses were ALL great, and Dr. Burgess is the hand specialist/surgeon you want to see if expertise and bedside manner are important to you. FYI, if at all possible, get the earliest appointment time you can for surgery. Mine was the first of the day at 0700 and everyone was fresh and raring to go. Depending on the complexity of the procedure, you should be home before noon. My only problems came with the doctor's billing office (I assume it's an outside contractor). I was told at my first visit/consultation that they would call me 2 weeks before surgery to discuss all the details of insurance and I ended up making all the calls just days before since I hadn't heard from them. Lorraine is not terribly on the ball and Lisa was completely unfriendly and borderline rude. On the contrary, Dee Dee in the billing office at the surgical center was an absolute sweetheart in every way, and bent over backwards to make sure I was fully informed. If you are in need of a hand surgeon, I highly recommend Dr Kraig Burgess of OrthoArizona at Arrowhead. I followed him from TOCA where I first met him in 2013 when I was referred by the nurse at my place of employment. Since then I have had a couple other surgeries performed by him all without any problems. He is very knowledgeable and a highly skilled surgeon with excellent bedside manner. H makes you feel like you are his only patient at the time and takes his time to fully explain in terms you can understand. His nurse practitioner, Tracey, is also very competent. The rest of the staff are friendly and accommodating. Office is clean and well-maintained and easy to find right off of 79th Ave just south of Union Hills. read more

Went in for 3 pm appointment and was seen in a room by 2:59 pm. Nurse asked questions and then Tracy nurse practitioner came in accessed my hand and explaining what she thought. 4 minutes later doctor came in and did a series of tests to isolate problem. Then as doctor left Tracy gave me injection and I was on my way home at 3:25 pm. The staff is unbelievable and so accommodating. I was treated like a real VIP. If you need a hand, wrist or upper extremities doctor you want to see Dr. Burgess. Very compassionate and concerned for his patients health. I personally give them the highest rating. read more
