I got a phone call from ortho dental inc of Gallup. The "management" called to cancel my daughter's scheduled consultation. My other daughter ALSO had an appt and she claimed they never had an appt for her! But they called me yesterday 11/6 and confirmed both appts! Smh This was very unprofessional and ridiculous of them! I made this appointment last month and the attitude female "management" claimed we never had an appt, even tho they called yesterday to confirm both appts! Smh read more

Up until recently I have enjoyed coming to Ortho Dental, Inc over the past year for my dental services. Unfortunately after my visit today, my view changed. Today's unsatisfactory service started before even coming to the clinic on June 29, 2019 at 9:45AM. Two days before my appointment, my emergency contact was called to inform her that I have yet to confirm my upcoming dental appointment. My emergency contact. Emergency contacts should only be reached in emergencies, not to confirm appointments. Furthermore, after personally confirming my appointment, I'm left additional voicemails and texts to further confirm my appointment? With such diligence to confirm appointments, I expect timeliness on your end. I understand situations arise and schedules are adjusted accordingly, but I should not have received a text thirty minutes before my appointment stating my appointment was pushed back thirty minutes. Furthermore, I should not have to wait for an additional forty minutes for services once seated in a dental chair. Upon attempting to reschedule my appointment, I was informed by the Office Manager that my visit today was considered a dropped appointment, because I was seated in a dental chair without being seen by a dentist; thereby, restricting me from scheduling Saturday appointments in the future. When leaving the dental clinic today, forty minutes past my scheduled appointment time, I saw the only working dentist performing services on a patient. By the sounding of a drill, it appeared major services were being conducted. More than likely, I would have been seated for a longer period of time without being seeing, if I did not have to leave due to a prior engagement. To remedy the situation: 1) Immediately release my refund payment. I find a ten day processing period unacceptable. 2) Do not detail a negative report to my dental insurance company, nor charge them because of your mistake. They will be sent this information. 3) Delete my patient profile. I will not be utilizing your services in the future. read more

Was referred to go here by a friend of the family. Half way through my treatment for braces, she tells me she was not satisfied with the services(she got braces too). The day I went in to take off my braces I was super hopeful, but this was the day I was the most uneasy in this place. Do not sign any papers before you take off your braces here, they will tell you if you do not sign they will not remove your braces, know your rights please. I had mine taken off by an assistant who was always nice, but every time I saw the orthodontist I always got a weird vibe. The orthodontist came in after all wires & brackets were removed to grind my teeth for the final process. Mind you the orthodontist did do this but he was talking the whole time to someone honestly not minding what he was doing. He stayed grinding on one side of my body the whole time & probably only said two words to me. When he was done & I had walked out, I checked my teeth & they were not quite what I wanted. I was highly dissatisfied. The orthodontist had used the grinder on my teeth to cause them to wear faster & look very uneven. Also, it is uneven, when I bite down one top tooth & one bottom tooth touch & the rest do not, orthos in other states say overtime this is bad, plus it is always sore. I was told by two professional orthos in Seattle & one in Anchorage that it looked purposefully done & that the work was not professional. I tried to talk to Cowley about this after the news from Seattle but he seemed to be confident in his work, I asked for molds but couldn't get them, I was pretty much told not to worry about them & that if taken to the board my teeth would be considered perfect. After Anchorage I wanted to get an attorney but was referred to NM state dental association... hopefully they help me. By the way I never recommended them to anyone but one of my cousins went there & I had told her not to, she ended up finishing her treatment unsatisfied as well, both people who I know had gone there said that the orthodontist had made their teeth very thin. I can never get an appointment. Then when I did have an appointment, I got there and waited 30 minutes. I had to leave to get to work.

Enjoyed visits but not today, have been waiting almost an hour to get seen. Checked in, but they could've gave me a heads up about being backed up. Didn't bring my retainers, also didn't give me a heads up about needing to bring them. Waste of my time. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THESE MONEY GRABBERS Thursday my fiancé calls this office to book an appointment. They ask is 11:30 ok? She says yes we book the time slot. We arrive on time and during the completion of the paperwork are approached by the receptionist. She says, the dentist took two emergency cases today, can you come back at 1? We agree, go off and do a few things, come back at 1:00.. There is now the office manager at the front desk who asks if we can come back at 2:00, we say no and exchange a few words.. We waited until 2:09 before my fiancé was seen.. She is then told she was booked as an emergency visit and the dentist can only address one tooth. My fiancé told the dentist that at no point was she told it was an emergency visit, not when making the appointment and not when filing out the paperwork. a few x-rays were taken and a full appointment was made for the following day. The following day we arrive on time. The receptionist tells my fiancé "they'll get to you eventually".. While waiting it is discovered another patient was already one hour past her scheduled appointment. My fiancé got up and cancelled her appointment.. The office was packed and the waites are beyond acceptable. We will never be returning to this practice.. The dentist was only interested in my fiancés insurance coverage and they don't care about patient wait times.. So unless you want to waste an entire day waiting in a money grabbing unprofessional dentist office I highly recommend you go elsewhere. We actually drove the 3hrs to Flagstaff for a dentist. While there that office had to call and request digital copies of our X-rays from Ortho. The staff at Ortho had no clue how to email this info and the Ortho office manger called the Flagstaff office. The office manager was rude to the Flag dental staff and blamed us for their sub standard service.. The receptionists in Flag were dumbfounded at the Gallup Ortho Dental practices as are we.. Double and Triple booking patients is both unproffesional and unethical.. Stay Away From Ortho Dental Inc in Gallup NM !!!!!!! read more

I totally agree with Rodney's post. Gallup Ortho Inc does not accommodate their patients. They are money seeking and are overloaded with patients. They do not have enough Doctors to accommodate their patient load. Monthly appointments take 6-8 weeks to schedule, and if you have to reschedule an appointment they do not have openings for weeks! I regret getting orthodontic services here and absolutely do not recommend them. read more
