After dealing with some severe back and hip pain I struggled to find a solution. I saw several doctors with no solution until i woke up with such severe pain I needed to see someone immediately. Jennifer who answers over the phone was phenomenal and couldn't be more helpful. By chance they had an appointment at 10am only about 45 mins from the time of the call. I saw PA Justin Biel for what wound up being the best doctor's visit of my life. I have never had such an amazing interaction with a medical professional. His ability to relate, listen and show compassion was remarkable. He throughly examined all my symptoms and came up with a game plan to eliminate my issue once and for all. His knowledge in his field matched with his mind set of patient care was fantastic. As a young man he assured me this will be fixed sooner rather later and encouraged me to not fall victim to this and continue doing life without fear after this problem was resolved. 10/10 would recommend PA Justin Biel. read more

This review is about the treatment I received at this practice on May 23,2025. I went to their emergency orthopedic emergency clinic for severe back pain. In fact I required a wheelchair just to enter the facility. Keep in mind that I was not new to this practice ( oali), in fact I have had four surgeries done by them including two knee replacements,a carpal tunnel surgery, and a tumor removal from my radial nerve, as well as several cortisone treatments. Upon arrival my wife wheeled me to the reception desk where they looked up my records with them. I was asked the reason for my visit and I told them that I was in severe pain and that I had inir back surgery seven months prior. Upon hearing that the receptionist left the desk and and back a few minutes later to tell me that since my surgery wasn't a year go and was not done by them they would refuse any service to me and although I was in severe pain they would not provide any aid to me. The attending doctor didn't even have the decency to come out and tell me directly instead allowing the poor receptionist to absorb my anger and disbelief of such callous and cowardice on the part of the attending. I will never use or recommend OALI to anyone. read more

On September 19th, I went to see Dr. Mileto, at 55 Medford Avenue. This location is in Patchogue, NY. He is an Orthopedic Doctor. He did my left hip replacement on March 19th, 2024. He gave me good news. I am great from the surgery. I want to thank his staff there. They are doing great. They are Erica, Vanessa, Daniella, and Angela. It was a great experience there. My husband had neck surgery ( ACDF) with Dr. Dewal, the surgery went great, but that's about it. There was no follow up phone call the day after. My husband was in so much pain, we tried to get in touch with the office to change his pain meds, but we were told to go to the E.R. The office at 6 Techonology Drive, only one Staff member stood out as being kind, which was Kim the receptionist. THE WORST EMPLOYEE WITH THE ATTITUDE (blonde with glasses) AND JUST RUDE WAS LIZZY. She is very stand offish, if you asked a question she acted like she couldn't be bothered. For a medical office, she is definitely in the wrong profession and doesn't want to do the job she is paid for. She made our experience horrible and we decided to only go to the Patchogue location only due to her behavior. read more

Dr. John Brennan took care of my knee after other doctors let me down. He listened to all my concerns with attention and answered my questions fully. I ended up having total knee replacement surgery due to arthritis. I am now 6 weeks out and went back to work a week ago. I am feeling amazing after being in pain for so long and am so grateful to him for the relief. His staff is also wonderful, especially my surgical coordinator Rishma. She too always took the time to answer my questions (this was my first surgery ever) with kindness both before and after my surgery. I cannot recommend Dr. Brennan enough and am thankful to one of my coworkers for recommending him to me. read more

Be very aware! Ortho Assoc is partnered with Precision Healthcare, which is the facility where they perform their surgeries. We knew Ortho Assoc would get a co-pay of $245 and Precision had a deductible of $1,000. On the day of the surgery, at Precision Healthcare, they asked for the $1,000. we paid it, assuming it was the $1,000 due to Precision. It was actually Ortho Associates employees and they posted the $1,000 we paid to Ortho Associates as a "deposit" against the insurance company payment. we didn't know the money didn't go to Precision until they sent us a bill a few weeks later. we are now 3 months post surgery and Ortho Associates is still holding our $1,000. our insurance company said we should owe nothing above the co-pay we had paid them and they should not be holding a $1,000 as a "deposit.". at the time of payment, they said nothing about it being a deposit to be hled. I will be contacting the State Attorney General. be very aware of what you are paying to who when you deal with them if you are having surgery. read more

When I moved from Brooklyn to Long Island, all the kids had dirt bikes. My parents wanted me to fit in so they bought me a dirt bike. While riding, I hit a cinder block with my foot. I soaked my foot over the weekend and shrugged it off. August 2012, I had friends over for dinner. Its raining and I'm standing on my driveway wearing my Crocs flip flops. The rainy driveway was like a sheet of ice. My leg twisted and it felt like I sprained it the same way I did as a kid. Dr Lorenzo Gamez was called, he looks at my leg x-ray and shows me the break. I couldn't believe it. He told me it will be a long road back, 6 months at least I will get you there. I said doc, that's great. I need two week plan. He looked at me and laughed. After multiple surgeries, it wasn't two weeks but I turbocharged the project. I had a wheelchair and I rocked NYC! I'd enlist people and say: Hey buddy, push me up this curb. From the chair to a crutch and a boot. The end result, a perfectly healed leg with a nasty forever scar. Dr. Gamez has an incredible down to earth, bedside manner and is an excellent surgeon. He still shakes his head I went back to work 3 days after surgery but that's show biz baby. His office staff is very helpful and are always ready to help with any questions or concerns. All insurances are taken. Just dealing with his office, they helped every step of the way regarding my surgery. I'm thankful for Dr. Lorenzo Gamez for his knowledge and specialty in broken legs. He helped me with something that actually changed the course of my life. read more

Dr. Gamez is a very special doctor. He is so gentle and kind with an extremely warm manner. He is very gifted, so intelligent and possesses a wealth of knowledge and wisdom. He really listened carefully and intently to all my concerns. One of the great qualities a physician can possess is compassion and attentiveness and Dr. Gamez exhibits those rare qualities and more. He wants to help in any way he can and he gives his patients the highest quality care and makes one feel valued. He has great empathy which is such an important quality in a true healer. I have a complex case and Dr. Gamez took the time to understand all facets and to provide me with the best possible path to a full recovery.
