Not only did I feel better after my time with Dr. Gaunt, but months after my therapy, I'm still feeling wonderful. I spent a couple of years hurting, wanting to stay physically active, but being restricted because of back pain. I discussed my issues with my primary doctor and my pain management physician. I scheduled steroid injections. I spent time doing physical therapy. Then, I found Dr. Gaunt. Hands down, one of the best decisions I've made regarding my health. I was depressed and exhausted from simultaneously feeling the agony of my injuries, feeling like an invalid, my inability to do so much as tie my shoes or pull my pants up, dealing with the medical paperwork nightmare and from fighting with both my company and the insurance company. I was met from day one with a smile, encouragement and understanding from every single person at the rehab center. Bobbi at the desk was helpful and efficient processing my paperwork as was Donnie, both always asking me how I was doing.  It was wonderful to meet Tanya who evaluated me, explain the process and set my rehab in motion. I was then handed off to Kaylen, Sarah, Tina, Kim and the other Sarah for the long hall. Everyone was not just knowledgeable and competent, their kindness, compassion and professionalism is nothing short of outstanding.  Also importantly ever so gentle with my incredibly painful injury. They all pushed me simultaneously as far as they could and yet at my own pace. They even smiled politely at my boring stories of adventure. Back in March I injured my left shoulder at the gym and spent 5-6 months trying to PT/fix it…read moremyself... It didn't work. I never recovered all the strength/mobility and dealt with varying levels of pain every day. I finally broke down and spoke to Nick about it and made an appointment. He said give him 5-6 weeks of PT and he'll have me back in the gym hitting PRs. The PT wasn't easy; Every day I left there feeling wrecked in a way I haven't experienced before with my shoulders. Also listening to his restrictions for what I could and couldn't do at the gym was rough too. When he released me from restrictions, and we decided it was my last session my shoulder felt great. He told me to keep doing the movements he showed me to keep my shoulders strong. I didn't have pain; My mobility was back, and I was ready to test it. I went into the gym same day and for the first time in over a year I was able to not only do one muscle up, but two! Going to see Nick was the best decision I could have made.
