I…read morehave painful & disabling midfoot OA as well as arthritis of the MTP joint resulting in significant pain when walking. I had spent months with another provider trying to obtain effective orthotics. The incorrect orthotics were making my foot issues worse. I was experiencing pain in my toes and parts of my feet that I had not started with. I could hardly walk around the house or do things I needed to such as grocery shopping. After working with Nick Kolterman at Fit My Feet, I feel that I HAVE MY LIFE BACK! I can walk and do things without my feet hurting all the time. For me I have to travel several hours to go to Fit My Feet and I feel it is well worth my time and money due to the successful results achieved. I believe the process that the first provider used to get the orthotics was a problem. The scan and orthotic recommendation was sent to a rep who then conveyed the information to the lab, all in another state. Each modification requested not only took about 3 weeks to send them in, have the modifications completed and returned, but then it seemed that something was lost in the translation and repeatedly they were not coming back with the correct change requested. With Fit My Feet the ORTHOTICS ARE MADE IN-HOUSE and MODIFICATIONS needed are done ON SITE WHILE YOU WAIT. You can then try them on and adjust further as needed. There is no third party to communicate with. I met with Nick Kolterman, the owner. He is extremely knowledgeable and has PROVEN RESULTS! He looked at my x-rays and could see the state of my feet. Nick knew exactly what was needed for the orthotic and once I received them the results were amazing. The significant pain just wasn't there. After wearing for awhile there were still some little tweaks needed and Nick modified the orthotics while I waited whereupon I was able to try them on and ask for further adjustment if needed. No three week wait where I would be without the orthotics while revisions were made. Nick KNOWS WHAT WORKS for the various foot issues people encounter both in the ORTHOTIC needed as well as the CORRECT SHOE for the specific foot issues experienced. He explained that the most effective situation is a "marriage" between the correct orthotic and the correct shoe for your condition. Nick's expertise SAVED ME TIME AND MONEY. I had previously gone to a different specialty shoe store and was steered to various shoes which upon purchasing and trying did not help and quite often aggravated my foot situation. When mentioning the type of shoe I should get and I asked about some of the shoes I had previously been recommended Nick would say, "too stiff, too soft, not enough support for your midfoot, etc...." This was exactly what my experience had been in trying each of those shoes. Nick's recommendations save me this trial and error. Nick looked at my existing shoes, told me what to no longer wear and explained why, what he could modify to make work and WHAT SPECIFIC SHOES TO PURCHASE in the future to accommodate my foot needs. We discussed the various types of shoes one wears in life, from athletic shoes (often the orthotic workhorse) to sandals, casual shoes, dress shoes, water shoes, hiking shoes, boots, etc... and Nick made the appropriate recommendations. He also explained that for some foot conditions, certain types of shoes will aggravate your feet. Heels for me is one of them yet there are times I do need to wear a heel. He then again recommended the shoe that would work best, that he could either modify or make a custom orthotic to allow to me wear heels when needed. He cautioned that the use of heels should be minimized. I feel as if I HAVE MY LIFE BACK! I can once again go about my life and feel that whatever need I have there is an appropriate shoe in my closet to wear which will provide pain relief and not aggravate my feet.

I got my statement from my insurance company and he charged the following office visit surgical svc $88.16 then surgical svc again for $202.00 for a total of $434.20. My toe nails must of been of gold. Then today I received another statement from my insurance office and he submitted a duplicate bill. These were the charges he sent to my supplimentary iinsurance. I don't know how much Medicare paid him. I guess he bought the previous doctors practice so he has to over charged.
