Hearing people talk about it as a fun little day-trip or place to find stuff, I thought there would be more to it. But it really wasn't a whole lot bigger than a boutique in a mall. We kept thinking "are we missing something??". They sell some home decor, mostly kitchen things, and some women's clothing. Some of the clothes were cute, but overall the style of most things seemed a bit too mature for me (though a few things I saw were exceptions). And then some of the clothes just had WAY too much pattern for me, like two or three completely different/ clashing floral patterns on one shirt. I guess that's just the Pioneer Woman style. I'm sure some can pull it off. We did end up getting some cute elastic waisted black pants with lace at the bottom for my Grandma. We thought those were cute!! The vast majority of the kitchen stuff you can find at Walmart anyway, since the Pioneer Woman's line is there now. Other than the small size of the shop, that was probably the most surprising -- that there really wasn't even that much more product than what's already at Walmart...... so then, if they aren't going to offer an expanded line or many more additional products, what's the point of going? Staff was very kind and bathrooms were actually kept pretty clean. We went in there two different times in the day (both mid to late afternoon / early evening) and neither time was it very busy. So not a bad spot but mostly, I just don't really see the point. Please let me know if we've missed something (I'm not trying to be funny), because I'm just left confused about what's so interesting about even making a trip to come see the Pioneer Woman stuff if that's truly all it is (I do know that you can tour her ranch or something, but I feel like people talk about the shopping part so I don't know...). Is there in fact a bigger store that we somehow missed?

You can get local homemade and handmade goodies, antique furniture, tools, and much more. It is like a consignment shop. People have booths and Sisters Attic sells them. I lucked out one time and got three awesome unique windows and this time I got a window frame. They had som good books there as well. My mother enjoyed looking at the items from her childhood. The woman behind the counter, I assume the owner is so sweet. She has always been helpful and kind. We will always stop in at Sisters attic when we are in town, and so should you.

While I don't have the details of the employment service associated with this store, it is clear that they embrace individuals with all types of disabilities and provide services in that vein. The staff here was extremely helpful and patient, which impressed me greatly. But with all of that aside, I liked the large and bright space of this store and well organized shelves and racks of merchandise. I took advantage of their sale and scored some great sweaters and a dress for excellent prices in addition to a used curling iron that works very well and some fun magazines. If I lived closer to Bartlesville, I'm sure this would be one of my favorite stops. Another customer in the store said "Girl you have come to the right place! Best store in town" and I'm inclined to agree, if you like secondhand shopping don't miss this place.

We would always make a trip around Christmas time to buy gifts for family members. They have great gifts that aren't candle related also. I loved going in and seeing what all they had because it was different every time. I love them and miss visiting the staff and store. I am so sad to hear that it closed. I wish that they still sold online or on etsy.

I have for some time now called NYC home, but I love to give these amazing candles as gifts to my friends here. I placed a fairly large order during the holidays, but procrastinated and needed them by a certain date (totally my fault for waiting until the last minute), but these lovely ladies at Keepsake realized I might not get my order as soon as I'd hoped, so they immediately emailed me and then spent at least 30 minutes with me over the phone helping me to pick and choose items they had in stock so I could have them shipped in time. They didn't have to do any of this for me and I really appreciate that they cared enough to not only work with me in order to meet my deadline, but also to deliver a consistently superior product. Best product, best people, and best service hands down. As a side note; bring the kiddos too! They have two adorable and friendly cats to keep them occupied while you shop. My fiancé and I visited a couple years ago with my parents and the owners were even so kind as to give us a tour of the candle making process and even dip our own candles. I did some heavy duty shopping at the Merc.!!!! and also left behind probably a dozen more things I would've loved to have picked up and brought home. Yes, I would say it's a little more expensive than your average kitchen supply store but if you're going to somewhere upscale, I would say the prices are in line with that type of property. Lucky me -I made reservations for lunch for myself (since the boys decided they did not want anything to do with my shopping extravaganza!) I can't get over the quality and the quantity of the food. It's absolutely fabulous. They gave me complementary biscuits and homemade strawberry rhubarb jam. I would rate it five star -the biscuits just which you would like- light and fluffy and the jam freshly made and delicious. I also ordered what was called olive bread just because I love olives so much. I thought it would be a piece or two of bread with olives but instead it's like four or five pieces of bread, so I'll definitely be taking some home and it will become my dinner along with whatever else I have left because their portions are very generous. For my main course, I ordered the cornbread fish over rice and creamed spinach. It's not only beautiful and don't you know we eat with our eyes first!! Well, just take a look for yourself. Oh, me oh my happy day.!!!! Justin is my server. Everyone in both the restaurant and retail area have been absolutely wonderful and have helped me a couple times as I had questions and then I brought a baking pan down to pay for it with all my other Mercantile items not knowing that if the merch is up in the bakery, you gotta pay for it in the bakery....I did get a lot of stuff up there- some cookies, brownie and scones and some "vintage" candy for my husband. I don't know why I didn't put that small Bundt pan on the counter!! They actually have a beautiful staircase, but they also have an elevator so with my bum leg that was my choice. I took the mini Bundt pan back up, paid for it and then proceeded to take my three XL or maybe even 2XL Mercantile Brown Handled Bags out to my trunk. (I hope that my husband doesn't put me on top of the car for the ride home!!!) ----at the very least, I'm probably going to be squished in the backseat with those bags and my 72# dog; however, this was TOTALLY worth it. I can't stop smiling. I love it here. All that shopping made me hungry and timing was perfect so once my bags were safely in the trunk -I walked right up to the hostess stand -she confirmed my table was ready and I was seated on a very comfy cushioned area that was behind my 2-top but I believe it extended to either side of me where the tables were both 4-tops. Justin was my server and he was fantastic. He took excellent care of me and I observed him giving the same high quality customer service to customers at his other tables. He had that charming OK accent and indeed told me he had lived at the next little town all his life. We had actually passed through Bartlesville on the way to "The Bunkhouse" (our ABNB for the 2-nights which was very near Pawhuska. (I'll be posting other reviews regarding the "Merc" mercantile and general store and the merchandise available and what I purchased.) This is one of my best days ever. The only thing that could've added to my joy was if Ree Drummond herself made an appearance. I was shocked when I went out to leave for home and found the Drummond Ranch truck parked next to my car. I never found out if it was just parked there as an advertisement, (although I don't think they need any advertising), or if there was a Drummond on the premises. I didn't mention I took 2 Turkey Bacon Club Sandwiches along with the home made potato chips (they came with each sandwich) and a side of MacNCheese which is what the boys chose from the menu. Happy to report that everything was made to order as requested and my family enjoyed their meal just as much as I did-however they missed the incredible ambience!!!
