After doing research, I booked LV Hair and Makeup about 2.5 weeks prior to the wedding. I sent in an inquiry through their website. I received an email back from Laura. She is the main point of contact when it came to the pricing, booking, and confirming. Their website is detailed with prices and packages. I booked an Elite Hair & Makeup package for the three of us. It cost $219 per person. Upgrades are an additional cost (ex: airbrush makeup $35, eyelashes $10, rhinestones $10, hair extensions $10, updos $10, Hollywood waves $10). Since they're mobile, they charge a travel fee of $20 for each artist. A deposit is required before you get a confirmation. Deposits are non-refundable. They take payments through PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle. The remaining balance will be paid after the services. Although Laura had many grammatical errors and may seem all over the place, she was very responsive. She sent me a detailed breakdown of each charge. After sending her a deposit, she sent me a confirmation of my appointment date, time, and location. The day before the services, the hair and makeup artists contacted me for reference photos to get an idea of what we wanted. I sent them a few images I found online. Karina and Liss arrived on time on the day of the appointment. They came extremely prepared with their own lighting and products. Both artists were gentle and patient. Karina did an amazing job with our makeup. I asked for a full glam for my mother and I. I wanted a warm eyeshadow, cut crease, gold shimmer, contour, and baking. Took it back to the 2018 makeup era. I asked for the same makeup style for my mother, but she wanted her outer and inner corners smoked out with a shimmer in the middle. My sister went for a soft glam and a smokey eyeshadow look. We absolutely loved our makeup and appreciated how well it stayed on for 12+ hours! Liss did a beautiful job with our hair. I sent her images of the hairstyles my mother and sister wanted, and she did exactly that. My sister wanted curls and a braid around her crown. My mother wanted her hair curled and half of it pinned in the back. I was the only one that did not have a reference photo, simply because I couldn't find what I wanted. I explained with as much detail as possible about the hairstyle I wanted. I wanted braids on the side of my head, majority of my hair slicked to one side, volume on the top, and curls. Even without a reference photo, Liss was able to bring my vision to life! She used a lot of hairspray, so our curls stuck throughout the night. Our makeup artist canceled the morning of my sister's wedding, and despite their team scrambling, no replacement could be found in time. My sister, the bride, was in tears hours before her ceremony. Several of us lost part of the morning trying to solve it instead of finishing wedding prep. We were only saved by a friend who happened to be nearby. When I pushed back afterward, the CEO responded personally, explained the timeline, and issued a full refund plus a credit. I'll give them that -- the response was better than most companies manage. But none of that changes what the morning of the wedding actually looked like, and none of it changes that their website promises coverage they cannot always deliver. If you're booking them for a wedding or any event you can't reschedule, ask directly what happens if your artist cancels same-day, in writing, before you pay a deposit. Don't assume the guarantee on their site means what it says. I want to correct the public record here. In response to my review, the owner stated that I "didn't respond" to their email, which is why she posted the CEO's full response publicly. That isn't accurate. I replied to that email on 9/22 at 2:53 PM Eastern, the same day I received it. I'm noting the exact time so there's no ambiguity about what happened. On the original issue: our makeup artist canceled the morning of my sister's wedding with limited notice, and despite the team's efforts, no replacement could reach us in time. My sister, the bride, was in tears hours before her ceremony, and several of us lost part of the morning scrambling instead of finishing wedding prep. The company did refund the service in full and extended two service credits, along with a personal apology from the CEO, and I want to be fair and acknowledge that. But their website advertises a "backup guarantee" and "national coverage with backup options" without disclosing that a same-day emergency can fall outside what that guarantee can actually deliver. If you're booking for a wedding or any event you can't reschedule, ask in writing what their same-day contingency plan looks like before you pay a deposit.

My husband was running around the casino floor as the lady on the phone said the make up artist was there, when she clearly wasn't. We had no idea what was happening or if anyone was showing up! By this point it was 1:45pm and I was in tears, my bridesmaid had to go and do her own hair and make up as there wouldn't be time for us both. I had not planned to do my own hair and make up, so didn't have any of the right equipment with me and now didn't have enough time to do it myself, I was inconsolable. Just as we were getting ready to run to Sephora, one make up artist turned up at the hotel room and then 20 minutes later a bother to help with hair. They managed to get me finished with 5 minutes to spare to get my dress/veil/shoes on and run down to the limo, hardly the magical experience we had planned. Both artists were very friendly and apologetic and the quality of the make up job was fantastic. However, although my hair looked nice it was NOTHING like what I had requested. (Straight instead of curls, I'm sure the hair artist only had straighteners with her.) Altogether, it was incredibly stressful and upsetting on our wedding day and I would not recommend this company if you value your special day at all. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this stress. EDIT: Since posting this review my husband and I have received COUNTLESS phone calls and messages asking us to take it down, even though they admit the review is honest. They have threatened to sack the make up artist, given us sob stories about how they can't pay for their child's speech therapy and tried desperately to pay us off to remove it. I don't need the money, I just don't want anyone else put through this on their special day. I have screenshots of everything. Please be aware that this is the reason for so few negative reviews.
