Great place for bamboo and everything to do with bamboo. I also love the paper lanterns there, and if I had an apartment I'd totally decorate it with a bamboo or paper lantern umbrella.. it's just gorgeous. Love. LOVE. Love. Also, the prices are uber cheap. $0.89 for a little bamboo spoon! Most places like Williams Sonoma would charge you $3 because it's an "eco-friendly sexy product". Here, bamboo it is what it is -- a cheap, renewable, green resource. I also like that they're frugal and eco-friendly. They wrap whatever you buy in newspaper rather than give you a bag. Love.

The staff was great. The group of guys who worked that day were all friendly and engaging. They were pushy and very helpful. The store is kind of enormous with tons and tons of stuff, mostly clothing (men's and women's) with other cool accessories, bags, shoes, etc. They had a lot of cool Toronto t-shirts there perfect for the tourist like me and the local who wants to rep their city. Prices were reasonable to slightly high depending on how you gauge things. I could have definitely bought more here but I was trying to watch my budget- I couldn't blow all of my money on my first shopping trip. This is the perfect place to pick up a gift for someone, whether that someone is you is to be determined. And if I'm in that part of town when I'm back in Toronto, I'll be back for sure.

There is still one picture posted of the old tiny store. This new showroom is bigger and packed with new items. They now sell all kinds of products and hardware like their display tables and all kinds of nick knacks. It was always the brands that got me hooked on Neon -- Vans, Converse, Doc Martens and now Kodiak boots along with clothes from Element. Their latest signature line is from Fjällräven Kånken in Sweden where everything they make is a hit, all killer and no filler sort of thing. Expensive, but worth it for anyone who is active. Some of their products are more technical in nature but the colours and styles are outstanding and tasteful. They winter coats and jackets make sense for our climate and eschews the down overkill of what you normally see on the streets of To. Neon, glad to have you back!

When I grew up, it was generally quieter, less bussy and less crowed (excluding events and maybe the food court area). Also, some of the stores and restaurants that been around for 15-20 years are still there (ex. Dollarama, Food Basics, McDonald's, Tim's, Pizza Pizza). It looks like it had some recent renovations with new fixtures, stores and restaurants. Despite the size and location, Woodside Square seems to be doing better and has more foot traffic compared to Pacific Mall (the past)

They have a Dino Kingdom which various dinosaurs and animals are displayed throughout the mall. They offer tours usually for 1 hr long. I brought my kids a few times and they really enjoyed it, the sessions are very informative and educational. Best of all the tours are free and sometimes they offer small gifts for attending. The mall also has 2 indoor playgrounds and a claw machine store.

Fortunately for Hubs they also have tons of furniture, so he was able to find a {super cute} chair up front to relax in while I wandered. B/c my luggage could not accommodate all that I had seen I settled on a really beautiful picture frame to commemorate our visit to Toronto. There is also a food court, but we arrived early, and it wasn't open. Each time I drove by, the parking lot looked like a zoo, but since we arrived right at 10 am, there were plenty of parking spots! There is also a Tim Horton's and Service Canada. Cute little plaza if you're in the area.
