The limestone walls could use a power washing. The unique design here is the portico that is topped with a domed cupola. I would love to get a close up of that! The building was updated in 1891 and again in 1962. No longer a single structure, the annex is attached to the rear and the entire structure takes up the whole block. I was here after closing hours so I did not get to see the inside. The basement, which was the country jail, has been restored and functions as a law library and offices. It's not all bad though. There are a few good places near by for lunch and the employees are pretty entertaining. I'm pretty sure they hate give the speech on how to be a juror more than you hate listening to it. Even though they could use more comfortable chairs, the snarky attitude and proximity to tacos makes the Syracuse City Courthouse A-OK in my book.

Worst customer service ever. The employees seem to feel no obligation to help the people they…read moreserve. Calls are not returned and when you call back and finally reach someone they cant even tell you a court date. They requested me in court but put no effort in working out a date. It took over two years to get a hearing at which point they counted their loss and dropped everything. It is amazing they can stay in business with this degree of concern for the bussiness.
