Party rate was a flat rate for two hours and not a pay per child model like other places. I appreciate the blending of play with technology; dressing up and seeing onself in different backgrounds given the green stream and scanning dinosaur drawings into a landscape. I hope this museum continues to grow and have more for older kids to play, explore and learn. The bathroom situation- a single which requires a code, is a bit lacking.

Foam pit, slides, obstacle course, tube and carpet slides, trampolines, a rotating beam thing, and the fun inflatable ball you can get inside and roll around. Definitely very busy and a little overstimulating on a Sunday birthday party prime time but a fun time for sure! We will be back maybe during the week when it's less busy and get a turn on all that it has to offer!

We made a last minute reservation as we were driving from Milwaukie all the way to Hillsboro. Our original plans didn't work out but wanted to give my 16 month old a fun day anyway. From the second we walked in we were greeted with genuine enthusiasm for being there. I love the layout as I can watch him from anywhere. There was so much for him to do (even though he was at the train table 80% of the time!) and it was all SO cute! I don't know if we just got lucky, but every other parent/caretaker was extremely kind as well. Also, they give out a free toy and snack on the way out which definitely helped with the heartbreak of leaving. We will definitely be back a bazillion more times!

Parking was a bit confusing, but there's a free lot, street parking and a 5 dollar parking lot. There is a wait before getting into the haunted houses depending on if your night slot is sold out, but really we only waited about 15-20 minutes after our selected slot so it's no big deal. We chose the classic manor. At first I went in thinking it wasn't too scary, but I was wrong. It was such a fun experience and I'm sure doing it in the dark would've been cool, but I did not have the guts for it. The place also has food, photos and a pumpkin patch. Milburn's Haunted Manor is so worth it!

Here is a little history behind the church from their website www.PioneerWeddingChurch.com The 1895 German Methodist Church was acquired by the Baker Cabin Society in 1967. Originally built by a German community in Logan it was abandoned in 1920. It is said that all sermons were preached in German. Slated for demolition, the church was salvaged by a group of community members lead by Ernest Heinrich, who moved it to the Baker Cabin Site. Beautifully restored, the Pioneer Church, in it's tranquil wooded setting, has become a popular for Weddings. It is small, holds maybe 75 people, has no ready room, no indoor plumbing or A/C. It's wonderful for photography, accoustics and needs little added decor.

While the church itself has limited seating and apparently no changing areas, the grounds are large and beautifully manicured. I can't ever see myself getting married again, but if I find myself in just such a place in life, this will definitely be high on my list.
