Then time went by and he had not even started working on the file. When I asked him to please start it he said there is plenty of time. But my experience told me this was not the case so I politely kept asking for an update and he assured me not to worry. Of course when it was time to act he was late and I was penalized financially by the government. So next he decided to penalize me financially as well - stating he now has to do additional work because of the delay (which he caused!!!). Then it gets much worse. He has 2 options to close our transaction and chooses the wrong one despite the fact it clearly indicated in writing from the banks which one he was supposed to choose. This resulted in me losing all my credit accounts which I had had for 15 years. He didn't even try to help I had to force him to write to my creditors. He acted too late again and I lost my biggest account worth close to $30k of rolling credit. Because of his poor performance and lack of professionalism he cost me thousands in a simple procedure that he does everyday (supposedly). Protect your self and find anyone else to handle your legal matters.

Rhonda's legal strategy to settle this case, was to take the easy way out for her by forcing my friend to give his wife EVERYTHING that she wanted and asked for, however unreasonable, and even after that, she sent my friend's wife an email without even checking with my friend, asking my friend's wife if there was anything else that belonged to my friend, that she thought she was entitled to. It was as if Rhonda, after taking a large retainer from my friend, was doing everything that was in the best interest of my friend's wife. In frustration, my friend fired Rhonda and retained the services of another lawyer who was extremely competent. The new lawyer settled the case expeditiously, by convincing my friend's wife to withdraw all the unreasonable things that she was demanding from my friend, and which Rhonda forced my friend to agree to give her. The new lawyer also did all the necessary due diligence and found that my friend's wife had committed crimes in Canada and used that information to reach a settlement that was totally in favour of my friend. The retainer fee of the new lawyer was also much less than Rhonda's retainer fees.
