When I arrived, they were totally not prepared for the pre-op. I requested an appt within the next 3 days since my operation was 4 days away. They said they were too busy. I challenged them that they should fund a way since I did not want to cancel my operation. They made no effort. I had to go to Bayside and pay out of pocket for the pre-op tests. I then spent 6 hours on the phone over the next week attempting to get reimbursed by Humana and I planned to request the unreimbursed from Dr Keene's office. I met with their office mgr who said he would get back to me asap. He never got back to me. never returned my calls. I sent a letter certified mail to Dr Keene, who also never got back to me. I will take them to small claims court due to their total unequivocal ignorance. .

One good friend that I had referred to him, after this friend had griped that his current doctor was just not that interested, complained jokingly that Dr Purcell was spending too much time on him and that his appointments were taking too long. If I had any negative it would be that during busy times (eg flu season) it can be hard to get an appointment with him, and they try to divert you to other Doctors in the (large) practice. Dr Purcell is the best doctor I have ever interacted with, in any field. PS: If you research him, you will find he is one of those rare family doctors who takes almost nothing (bribes?) from the pharmaceutical industry.

I just recently just found a new Doctor, so of coarse they requested my medical records from the same office which is now run by just Doctor Patel. Even though i have, and others doctor offices have requested my Medicals records over the years Dr Patel's office now says that they still have them but it's been too long and that they are not required to sent them to my new doctor who needs to see them. I think that this is very unfair and that if Doctor Azneer was still around he not agree with this policy at all!

Dr. Keene has been my primary care physician, specializing in endocrinology, for the last 3 years. I was very sad to hear he had left the Diagnostic Clinic Medical Group in Largo. They've had a huge exodus of great doctors, allegedly because it's all about bill, bill, bill. "Get more patients back for more appointments that are shorter so we can bill more, bill more bill more." Very Sad. Obvi, Dr. Keene's outstanding bedside manner didn't jibe well with this corporate culture. They're such douche bags at Diagnostic Clinic Medical Group that they will try not to honor your records request. By HIPPA, they MUST send your records if requested, but they're demanding elderly and infirm people to come in, in person, and sign for their records. THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW. If they pull this on you, say this: "If you fail to follow HIPPA and transmit my records within the next 48 hours, I will notify the office of Ashley Moody, attorney general of Florida. I'm told she already has a file on you, to which I will add my complaint."

He keeps you waiting then spends most of the visit talking about himself! He belittles your reason for making the appointment, even when requesting an overdue follow-up scan for lung cancer, saying it's not urgent and at the bottom of the list! He is a control freak who does not LISTEN to his patient. But the worst thing is his violation of HIPAA. The exam room doors are never closed and while waiting for him, you can hear EVERY word as he "treats" the patient in the room next door or across the hall. Even personal questions and answers are broadcast in his loud, booming voice. Someone (who should know better) recommended him to me, and after reading some glowing reviews online, all I can say is that those raving about this "doctor" don't know what a good, professional physician is! My advice is steer clear of him and the Largo Dedicated Senior Medical Center. The front desk Manager, Connor, did not even have the courtesy to follow up with my complaint, despite saying he would. Nor did Christopher Chen, the CEO of Chen Medical--who owns the Dedicated Senior Centers--return my call, so right there, that speaks volumes about this shady outfit! It's all about money at these controlling geriatric clinics. I guess my next call will be to Medicare re the violation of HIPAA.

It is relaxing just talking to her. She shows compassion and truly cares about you! I had an accident and needed an urgent referral and the staffs took care of my issue right away. I aslo needed some immunization and record for my immigration paper and they were prompt, gave me the follow-up phone call and a copy of my record in the mail (I did not even ask for any of this). Talking about an excellent customer service. I cannot imagine anybody who would not like her as their doctor. Highly recommended!
