Lately, I have been…read moreleaving the 46" 1080p LCD on the NCAA March Madness tourney (in HD of course) in the living room--volume turned low--whilst working on my laptop or around the house. It's heavenly. I just love the warm, comforting glow of the action in Hi-Def even though I'm not following any particular team(s) this year. (My Cal Bears squeaked into the lowly NIT and got knocked out in Round 2). And when the Warriors are broadcast on Ch. 129 (FSN HD), it doesn't get any better. We actually "downgraded" from non-HD DishTV package ($50/mo.) to basic cable with Alameda Power & Telecom ($21/mo.)* because basic now includes 19 HD channels. * Side Note: The Motorola DVR issued by AP&T sucks. We can't watch anything recorded without it skipping or stopping altogether. Sometimes it doesn't respond to the remote at all. We've only had the box a few weeks and will be returning it soon. I've heard other complaints from friends. But what do you expect for $8/mo.?
