Been a customer for a long time. Got Fiber internet through Sonic in 2021 or so when they made it…read moreto my neighborhood, and love the speed and reliability. They're a small local business who offers Internet responsibly and fairly. Had a recent interaction with Najib K which reminded me how much I appreciate the service as well. Najib was wraping up a service call for another customer, and I happened to catch him on the street with a quick concern I had before he drove away. He was able to give me friendly, professional advice, and gave me his card to follow up if needed. Really appreciate them!

I signed up for Sonic expecting reliable service and professional communication. After scheduling an installation appointment that was already weeks away, I waited the entire month only to receive a call on the day of the appointment informing me that it was canceled. Not only was the appointment canceled at the last minute, but Sonic couldn't even provide a new installation date. Their answer was essentially, "We don't know when it will happen." The most frustrating part isn't even the delay itself--it's the complete lack of communication. For over a month, there were no proactive updates, no realistic timeline, and no effort to keep me informed about what was happening. If there were permit issues or construction delays, why wasn't that communicated earlier? Why was I allowed to wait weeks for an appointment that apparently couldn't be fulfilled? What makes this even worse is that Sonic offered no temporary solution whatsoever. If fiber installation was delayed indefinitely, they could have suggested an alternative service, temporary internet option, or any kind of stopgap solution. Instead, I was left completely in the dark and without internet service. When I called customer service to get answers, I didn't get any new information. The representative simply repeated the same explanation about waiting for a permit over and over again, without providing any timeline, updates, or accountability. Delays happen. Permits can take time. Customers understand that. What customers don't appreciate is being ignored for weeks, having appointments canceled at the last minute, and then being told nobody knows when service will actually be available. At this point, I'm left with no internet, no installation date, and very little confidence in Sonic's ability to communicate with its customers. Extremely disappointing experience.

The disruptions are frequent and too many times have made my home server unreachable while traveling. Most of the time the service resumes, but on occasion I've had to have a neighbor or relative enter my home and reset the connection for me. Super effing inconvenient! Also, there is no roadmap for connections faster than 1 Gigabit, even while even more worthless competitors like Xfinity and AT&T offer 2.5 and even 5 Gigabit. And lastly, they increased their rates a few months ago. They offered a discount if you paid for a year in advance, but offered no way to do that online. It wasn't until I contacted customer service, that they gave me the details of how to do so: by writing a physical check and sending it to a physical address, no ACH or Credit Card options (which are available to those who pay monthly). Like, I'm boomer AF, so I still have a few checks laying around, but who else in 2025 still has a checkbook? When it works, I'm grateful, but internet service is binary. I just need it to work. Always. And it doesn't. End of story.

The Good ° $65 a month, no guessing ° More reliable than Xfinity ° Better Customer service than Xfinity & AT&T - You can reach them by text and they respond back quite quickly ° Easy & clean installation ° Upload speed is amazing! I'd only get 6-14 Mbps with Xfinity, so 90 Mbps is a huge upgrade for streaming The Bad ° The wireless point to point isn't blazing fast. Average 315-420 Mbps - Only really felt when gaming or updating The Ugly ° Not Tekify's fault, really it's largely the whole bay area, but no fiber option at my old house and at my new house ° Can't service a lot of friends I've recommended because of trees blocking line of sight Xfinity had better speed overall but I was always guessing what I'd get from day to day and it would always randomly go down. For half the price and better reliability and customer service, Tekify is a much better value!

We worked with Ryan, who was able to answer all our questions. Their monthly rate is 1/2 what we paid for Xfinity. It's only been a week, but our internet has not dropped once. Moises, the installer, arrived on time and did the entire installation himself in about 4 hours. He first set up a temporary antenna to check the download and upload speeds. Our speed was even better than what they had quoted. Once the antenna was set up on our roof, a cable is then connected to an outlet in our house. Once we set up our routers, everything worked seamlessly. Moises didn't leave until we confirmed that all of our devices were connected. If you live in the Fremont or neighboring areas, I highly recommend Tekify for your internet service.

Mike and his team were absolutely incredible from start to finish while installing my full home NVR system. Suntech stands out above the rest with their unparalleled technical expertise and exceptional value for the quality delivered. When choosing a company for something as important as your family's safety, it's crucial to pick one that really understands the technology inside and out and how to optimally utilize it to secure your home. During my consultations with various security companies, I kept going back to Suntech because I just felt like Mike was the sharpest out of them all. He fully understood my situation and grasped the entire NVR ecosystem more fluently than all the others, and he has an excellent memory too! On top of that, I feel that Mike truly cares about his clients- he's not in the business only to make money, but rather to make a truly positive impact in his clients' lives. The actual installation went smoothly and it feels so much better knowing that my whole house is now covered both inside and out at every angle with 24/7 continuous surveillance. Having that peace of mind is priceless and I'm so thankful to Mike and the Suntech team for it!
