When Ben does a site walk to review the work we think needs to be done, he always takes the time to educate me about the types of trees, explains why each one does (or doesn't!) need to be removed and offers strategies for tree management. His experience, passion and respect for the trees/land shines through. I appreciate this because his goal isn't simply to cut down trees ... it's to help trees thrive and remove them only when necessary. Last week, we hired STS to remove a massive 70'+ diseased Beech tree that was 10' from our house (in addition to removing some other dead/diseased trees along our driveway and property line). The professional and pleasant crew showed up on time, worked efficiently and skillfully took down our Beech beauty under Will's guidance (often from up in the bucket truck with chainsaw in hand). As high branches (some 20+ feet) were cut, lowered and then placed on the ground for removal, I calmly watched in amazement. What could have been nerve wracking was not thanks to their excellent team work! The crew was also very kind when they could see my emotions well up as they began working on the Beech.
