It makes me sad to write this, but I think it's important to share my experience. My wife and I have owned our Outbound Extreme trailer for a year, and we absolutely loved it--until a recent long trip from Tucson to Oshkosh and then into the high country of southern Colorado. On that trip, we had two major structural failures: * The tongue with the 24" factory extension partially separated. We found a welder and got it repaired. * A few days later, on a mildly washboarded, well‑traveled gravel road, a leaf‑spring bracket tore away from the frame, taking part of the frame with it. The opposite side was close to failing as well. A tow truck got us to town, another welder patched it, and we limped home. I'm not angry about the failures themselves--things break, and no one was hurt. What disappointed me was the complete lack of support from Outbound Trailers. Over 25 emails, I provided every detail they asked for: My mods (kitchen build‑out, solar, 200Ah battery, tongue box with 12V fridge) and photos. I also provided my tongue‑weight measurement (230 lbs using a level tongue supported on a milk crate and a bathroom scale). Their response was simply that the trailer was "way overloaded," both tongue and total weight, and that my tongue weighing method was invalid--though they would not explain why. As soon as we got home, we weighed the trailer properly: Total weight: 1800 lbs (under the 2000‑lb limit) Tongue weight: 230 lbs (under the 300‑lb limit) When I asked how these failures could happen while staying within every published weight limit, their only "solution" was to sell me $332 worth of hanger supports and suggest I bring the trailer to their factory. Their final message stated that I "refuse to see the facts," that the trailer "was overloaded period," and that my only options were to bring it to them or get it fixed locally however I wanted to. They also criticized us for not stopping at their factory when we were driving by on I-80 from Wisconsin to Colorado--though the tongue failure had already been repaired and the leaf spring failure happened 650 miles later. Unfortunately, my experience matches a pattern seen in a lot of reviews: People love their trailers--until something goes wrong. Then the response is essentially that it's the customer's fault. Bottom line: be very careful. My trailer was within prescribed weight limits and it failed. Twice. I expected a reputable company to address this as a legitimate concern so that future failures could be avoided. Reply to Bob: In my review I acknowledged the two options you offered. Why do I need to call to get help? Is there some helpful support you would have given me over the phone that you withheld in the emails? Example: I don't know a lot about trailers but I have asked you several times how the trailer could be within the weight limits you specify AND be overloaded at the same time? Your final email where you state unequivocally that I "refuse to see the facts" that the trailer was "overloaded period" is condescending and you reply to this truthful and fact based review is bullying. I think your post here speaks volumes in support of my review- everything is great until there is a problem and then Outbound blames the customer. read more

AFTER you give them the $1,200 payment THEN they give you a contract to sign that says what your vehicle needs to actually pull the Outbound Extreme. I have a 2024 Ford Maverick. I find out it would need an 8" rise to pull the trailer. Who in their right mind would want to pull an 8" rise across the country? If something goes wrong, their goes the back of your vehicle. Read the ENTIRE website before EVER giving them money. It was not on the page for the Extreme. No refunds on deposits by the way. read more

I have had great times in my camper that I purchased back in march of 2020. I basically lived in that thing to make sure I was ready for my first outing after bringing it home. I drove to them in Nebraska to pick it up from Illinois. The people were so amazing!! Bob is a great guy and he will answer any question you have about anything. I did loan my camper out to a homeless coworker and they destroyed it and I was devastated but that's why I got insurance and the girls in the office were amazing help especially dealing with the insurance company. I also upgraded my original camper and made the trip to the shop for the upgrade that they planned ahead and did all the work and checked over all my seals and made sure I was 100% before leaving the next day! I can call the office and Bob and the girls are always ready to help with any questions I ever have! I am already looking into buying an upgraded version and look forward to the adventure to getting it! read more

I don't write reviews until I've had the product a while. I've had an extreme 3 years almost 4. The people in the office are polite and helpful, until you have a problem then, they're just polite. The owner is vague and nothing is his problem. I asked about the chip board floor, I accepted I didn't ask but no one would tell me what they sealed it with. It is a toxic fence sealant, you can buy at tractor supply. The Owner WOULD NOT give me a straight answer. Stabilizers were too short (we're talking 5-6 in). I was told I could put blocks under them. They rust quick. Problem with the axle, Axle Co was top notch. The AC is inside the trailer and vents inside. If you get into heat above 85*F. It will not keep up. I bought the AC because we camp in dry, hot places. I haven't had any contact in years because it's bullshit. If you buy this brand you need some skills to fix things and tolerate polite lame service. If the owner would like to refute any of this, bring it on. Why haven't I sold or traded... An old man told me about his dad buying a blind horse in a group from a horse trader. When the horse trader returned he asked if everything was ok. Yes, the grandad said. The trader asked, what about that horse? (the blind one). Oh, he's blind, but you knew that. Now he has a good life and you can't screw people with him anymore. The horse trader said, I'll buy him back. Grandad, You're not listening. read more

This place is a joke. Do not purchase from them. Post purchase customer services is non-existant. I purchased my trailer with the offroad package. 3500lbs axles and 35" offroad tires. They have 1.75" spacer on them. I took a trip to Colorado from Nebraska on I70 to Grand Junction then over to Silverton. All highway miles. Had at most 700Lbs of gear in side. No offroading at all. Axle was bent on both spindles by the time I got home. Contacted Duratek and they sent me out a replacement axle and even extended the axle to lose the spacers so my axle wouldn't bend again. I purchased the air conditioner with the trailer. Used it couple times then it stopped cooling. Contacted Denali about warranty. They denied the warranty because I didn't have a receipt. I contacted Outbound and never heard back from them. The wood work inside was very shoddy.. Had to go over all the areas with sand paper due to all the rough edges from the router. They try to upsale you with everything, use any excuses to deny warranty of their work and will not provide you with invoice or receipts of the addons to get warranty service. Only Duratek went above and beyond. read more

I would advise this company to use better components. I have had numerous issues due to quality of components. Then I had customer service tell me to go to co-op to get materials to fix said issues. I also had the owner tell me that I wasn't using a latch correctly. I really love my camper but with how customer service treated my girlfriend and I and the poor quality components I would advise saving your money and buying from a better company. read more

I am incredibly disappointed with my experience with Outbound post purchase. We purchased and Outbound Extreme from them and when we took it out for the first time we discovered there was a part missing from the Sunshade we purchased as part of our package. I emailed Outbound immediately with photos of the the setup and photos of where the part should have been and asked how to get the issued remedied. They told me I had to deal with the Sunshade maker because it was an accessory and carried a separate warranty. So I did as they told me and I contacted them. After some explaining to the maker of the Sunshade they asked me for an order number. I told them I didn't have one because I bought with the Camper. They told me I have to deal with Outbound because I didn't have an order number. They also told me they don't sell or have individual parts. So I went back to Outbound and told them I needed an order number for them to help me. Then Outbound told me they were talking to the Sunshade maker. I heard back that they were shipping me the part and that they "had to take the part out of another awning so they were out the money for that awning" I was super bummed at that comment. Because knowing now. It would seem that my awning is never going to be warrantied because I don't have and will never have an order number for the part. I like my little camper. But Outbounds post purchase customer service seems terrible. The person that I was corresponding with was incredibly rude and seemed put out to remedy something seemingly straight forward. Be wary of the "warranty" on accessories because it appears it isn't great and that it doesn't work. Its a bummer, because we like our camper but this has left a VERY bad taste in my mouth and I am not sure I would recommend them just for this reason. read more

Couldn't find better people. We drove from Arizona to Nebraska to pick up the trailer. The only time we could get off of work to go was on a Friday & drove 20 hours and 5 states to get there. They opened up on a Saturday when they were usually closed so that we could pick it up. We couldn't be happier with our purchase! Received compliments at every stop we made from people admiring the trailer matching the Jeep. read more

I purchased a brand new Outbound Trailer "T-Rex" for approximately $11,500 last year. My review is based off my personal experience with this product and is all factual information. Fair and honest review. The prices of these trailers consistently change. Just go to their Facebook page and see. One minute you can get a "T-Rex" for approximately $13,000 then the same one for as low as approximately $8,000. Plus add on upgrades. Here's the update so far. The negative: Water has been getting in from the corners, the frame is rusting in multiple places, the wires are coming apart, moisture issues inside the cabin, inside ceiling liner is sagging, underneath is only OSB flooring with a big gap, frame is a bolt on frame, all screws are rusting and overall poor craftsmanship on the build. The positive: It looks appealing when on the road, rims are name brand "Fuel Rims", tires have good traction. So If you want to overpay for something that looks "good" and has cheap components then this is the product for you. Do your research before you buy! read more
