Alex planted my bush too far from my my drip system & it is not getting water so I had to hand-water it. Yesterday, I was going to water my bush, tripped on the remnant of the stake & fell!! My family has utilized Karl's service in the past, I don't know what happened but his service has…read moreseverely been downgraded as of Summer 2024. We had an emergency with a huge tree and needed someone to take care of the removal along with some debris from the tree damage. We talked with Karl and he quoted a price that included removal of the complete tree, stump grinding, CLEANUP, removal of the debris; all at one cost. We knew it was a big job but he agreed to it and we assumed it would be completed in a week, even being patient and assuming even two weeks. He split the tree services (cutting the tree into pieces) into two days. Then the plan was coming back the next week to remove the debris/metal. It took them another week to get back for that. Karl was supposed to come back to finish off the CLEANUP (picking up the ground up root grinding they did early on and some broken bricks) but instead left it, saying he would be back and gave a day (Friday) that they would be back. So we scheduled for that time and even reached out NUMEROUS times to his phone and Message system. We left countless messages with out contact back. Friday came and went with no one showing up. Called a few times on Saturday until finally he responded. He finally called and told us we had some kind of miscommunication! We got it wrong. NO! It was Friday, it was planned, scheduled and he did not show up. He proceeded each time to tell us about other jobs he was on, and other trees that had fallen that he had to take care of, and were currently at. He seemed to go where the bigger jobs were instead of finishing one job up completely. Karl and his crew were supposed to finish the job, it is over a month now and it is still incomplete! (See mound of roots mess still left behind!) ****OH and today (a Friday morning) Karl and his crew showed up, unexpectedly, at 7:45 AM, to come and clean up!!!! Wanted us to give him access to the yard from the alley! He did not call, he did not make any contact with us to make sure we would be home and/or have access to the area, or if we were even available! Just unprofessional, and dishonest.**** Look elsewhere. We were as patient as could be and cut him A LOT of slack. Someone who takes advantage of people when they have an emergency crisis, is not someone I want to do business with.
