A while back, when my youngest boy Austin (the dumb one) locked Sapphire's keys in her Grand Am again, I was pissed. I'd already gotten insurance to replace three windows because a "rock" busted them out the last three times he pulled this crap. So, just as I'd finished wrapping my hand in a towel fixing to take care of things yet again, Sapphire finds these guys on yelp. I called them up and they were at the house within the hour. Got us in the car where we found the keys under some unused mayonnaise packets in one of the consoles. They suggested we get a couple of new keys made so this wouldn't happen again. My son lost his key for his 2008 Kia Rio. I called all over Sevierville, and was just told by each locksmith that they couldn't make one. Finally, someone recommended OKS on Western in Knoxville. I called, and spoke with a really nice lady who looked up the VIN and said they could cut one for us, without the car being there! When we got to the shop, there was some concern about which key type would fit, but they made 3 for us, and two of them worked like a charm! The whole thing cost under $20, and we were able to go pick up his car right away. These folks spent a lot of time with us, and were pleasant, caring professionals. 1.) I had a Pella storm door's lock get jammed. Tried to disassemble it myself, but it was a job for a pro. I bought a universal storm door replacement lock body and handle from Lowe's and made an appointment with the Outlet Key Shop. These guys were pros and handled it. Took an hour of labor to get the old lock body out and install the new one. 2.) Another mortise lock was giving me trouble and I was able to remove it and take it to these guys. Thankfully I had the luxury of it not being an emergency. They tinkered with it, didn't notice it was broken, gave me some suggestions, and called me to pick it up. Didn't even charge me. I will never go anywhere else! These guys are amazing! I had a new ignition installed in my vehicle but it wouldn't start the car. I even had a so-called "locksmith" come "program" my key and it still wouldn't start. They guy still charged me $80. I should have called Outlet Key Shop first. Fast, friendly, and very accommodating. I don't too often need locksmith services, but from now on these guys are it for me. They came to my house and made a new key for my Murano when I lost my keys in the snow. THe man told me he could re-key the one already in the door and Icould take the new one i had just purchased. But I told him put the new on the back door. I am most impressed!! I will not go elsewhere. I had been to five local and two internet shops, spent over $150 trying to get keys for antique car. Outlet Key Shop solved it; mathematically, back-calculating related key codes. The cost was really cheap and they gave me the grinding codes. My car key has been broken for a while and I have been trying to solve it by melting it myself but it kept breaking so I figured it was time for me to do something about it.
