Came out to the house promptly, had the key fob needed thankfully. We only had one fob for that vehicle!

I went here today to get a fob programmed and key cut. They told me they could program the fob and cut the key on the phone. I showed up and he said he cannot cut steel keys, when is a key not steel I thought. He said he could program the fob, it's a jeep one from jeep and not an aftermarket. He charged me $50 plus tax, went to my jeep and sat in it for 5 minutes and played on his phone. He then stepped out, said he cannot program it and said no refunds. So $50 plus tax and he didn't attempt to program it, he sat on his phone for 5 mins and I watched him play on his phone. I went 15 mins away to another locksmith shop, they easily programmed the jeep fob and cut the key. They also told me that this is a scam that Outlet key shop pulls on people and is known for. Anyone reading this make sure you avoid this place, they are scamming people out of money and now I have to contact the credit card company. read more

I really like this place. Everyone is attentive and accommodating. I went in to have my lock changed out; but, the guy suggested I try several different things before I spend the money. One thing worked and I was extremely appreciative to him. He could have told me nothing would work, and charged me, but he didn't - and now I will refer them to everyone I know! In addition, this made it very easy for me to come back and have new keys made and buy other necessities/accessories from Outlet Key Shop. I will drive from wherever to use these guys. Arrived at my house and created a new key for me without even having to remove the lock; done in minutes and at a very reasonable price. On another occasion was able to make a working key from one Home Depot had cut upside down (wouldn't go into the lock). Very professional. Plus, I love their display of old comic books. read more

1.) I had a Pella storm door's lock get jammed. Tried to disassemble it myself, but it was a job for a pro. I bought a universal storm door replacement lock body and handle from Lowe's and made an appointment with the Outlet Key Shop. These guys were pros and handled it. Took an hour of labor to get the old lock body out and install the new one. 2.) Another mortise lock was giving me trouble and I was able to remove it and take it to these guys. Thankfully I had the luxury of it not being an emergency. They tinkered with it, didn't notice it was broken, gave me some suggestions, and called me to pick it up. Didn't even charge me. In answer to Doc B , we were at the shop on Western Ave. on 7/7/20 at about 9:30 A.M. I was teasing the clerks about it being freebie day because this is what the clerk that was waiting on us had told the other clerk as a reason to have forgotten to put the cash drawer in the register. What a find! This shop was recommended to me by another locksmith who has left his Knoxville location. When I called for a same-day house call, I was overwhelmed by their professionalism and service. I was given an estimate for what I wanted done at our new home (re-key the locks & all to the same key) and a time frame to expect Justin to meet me there. Also, I was told that Justin would call before his arrival so that I did not need to sit & wait for him. When Justin did arrive, he assessed our needs & wants and then set to work. He put in a couple of new lock sets, a deadbolt, and keyed all the locks to the same key. He also cleaned up after the job was done. I'm recommending Outlet Key Shop to all my friends and will be going to the shop for all my spare key and fancy car key needs. read more

I cannot stress enough how great Doc Bishop was to us. A friend and I were traveling cross country on our motorcycles when a key broke on us at a gas station at about 8 in the evening. We called around and were given some outrageous quotes for mobile service. One shop actually recommended Doc and had him give us a call. He went out of his way to meet one of us at his shop, where he not only made a fantastically solid copy from my broken key, but made an extra for not only me but the friend I was traveling with too. No extra cost. Just an extension of kindness to two poor travellers. On top of that, he added lively, interesting conversation and two key codes that would allow us to call him up from anywhere in the world and request a duplicate. Excellent. Thanks Doc! I have been several times to get keys made. They are always friendly and fast. I had an issue i wont talk about on here and they went out of their way to make it better. I usually go to the maryville location but have had the same experience at the knoxville location as well. read more

Very helpful when I locked myself out of my house walking the dog the other morning. $60 to have them come out and dodge my enthusiastic dog to unlock the door. Bonus: now I can turn a key in that particular lock, which I couldn't before. Friendly, competent, and less expensive that I expected. read more
