Really liked the prices at the Levi outlet store. The prices at the Gap were decent as well. Would give a higher rating except that there wasn't very many stores here. Other than these two stores there is Maurice's under armor Ralph Lauren and a shoe store and not that much else. UPDATE: I've given this outlet a few more chances, and so far, its getting better. I haven't seen the quantity of stores increase, yet I have seen some quality products that have served me well within the remaining stores. These stores are The GAP, Ralph Lauren, Nike, and the Bath & Body Works store. The latter of which had a ridiculous 75% off sale that I just couldn't believe. And oh yes, Starbucks is next door, yet not officially a part of the outlet. This is sort of a minor fact in a way, yet I discovered where the bathroom was located on my last trip. Its tucked away in the far right corner of the outlet square that has the Bath & Body Works store (the second square, I think). If you are looking at the Bath & Body Works store on the left, the bathrooms are opposite on the extreme far right hand corner. read more

Sad to say this place is pretty dead.... I was shocked to see the number of empty spaces in this center. I just read the reviews here before writing mine and never knew how sparse this Outlet Mall was. The only store we walked in was Famous Foot Wear and there was only one other customer. True the weather was not the best but I just got a feeling that the mall was dying. Maybe at one time there were many more stores but I've never seen a center so empty. We happened to be staying at the Quality Inn next door but based upon our experience in the small town of Hillsboro we decided to cancel the rest of our stay in Hillsboro and take our chance on finding a better deal in Waco. As the Waco economy has boomed due to the resurgence of Baylor University hopefully the trickle down effect can help the economy of these small towns close by. But in this case it was sad to see how dead an initial venture could turn. Not sure what's going to happen to this place but don't expect much. read more

This place is only missing one thing. Tumbleweeds blowing across the parking lot. As another reviewer said this place is a ghost town. There are open stores in about 25% of the place. Which means you cannot just walk from store to store. You walk into one store, then you will walk past 5 or 6 empty places to get to the next store. Most of the stores that are open are not outlet stores. The sell the same items at the same price as any of the "regular" stores. This includes Payless, Maurices, and Dress Barn. I did buy one shirt at Ralp Lauren that was a great deal, but that was it. I only stopped here as I was drving a long way and needed a break. Next time I'll just walk around a rest area. read more

Stopped here with the wife and we were shocked at the numbers of empty stores. No food places at all. So sad We did go to the Kitchen Collection, which is still going strong. That place we both liked! Not only did they have about every kitchen gadget you can imagine, they had a bunch of stuff that I can't imagine, (like in what they heck are they were used for?) Fortunately for me, my wife explained each of their supposed uses with quiet patience. Her patience turned to strangled exasperation as I started to make fun of them. I mean, special scissors to cut fresh herbs? A five-in-one jar opener? She sent me off to let her browse in peace when I discovered the ultimate giggle inducer. An entire shelf full of all the Stuff You See Advertised on TV! Sham WoW! No longer did I have to call a number on the TV screen and give my credit card number to some half asleep schlep at some call-in center, and then wait 6-8 weeks for my incredibly tacky surprise (usually a big let down) And best of all, no incredibly high SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES! Here they were in all there brightly colored cardboard boxed glory. And each with a tasteful "As Seen On TV" logo on the side. It was like a toy store for people who watch too many commercials late at night when they are having insomnia! Not that I know anything about that sort of thing. I ended up buying a Windshield Wonder, Pro Caulk, and Aqua Globes and a Cake Bake and Store Pan with Plastic Lid and a complimentary set of plastic measuring cups. What the hell happened here?!? My friend told me that there was a Kirklands outlet here so we drove all the way to Hillsboro only to find a ghost town of an outlet mall. I didn't think to do any research because all I heard was "outlet mall similar to the one in Allen" and I was sold. LOL. Boy, I should have done my research. Luckily I didn't have to drive and just sat in the back seat the whole way there. When we arrived we found that most of the storefronts were vacant and there was very much to be desired. It is June in Texas and given this is an outdoor mall we were hot and needed some refreshments. There was no food court. The only place with a vending machine was the customer service/lobby area. They provided free, freshly popped popcorn but I didn't bother with the popcorn. The lady at the customer service counter was super nice although we didn't really need anything. Their way of pulling you in is to sell that they have the cleanest, sparkling bathrooms. Yes, that is true. The bathrooms were clean and they provided seat covers, hand sanitizer, hand lotion and even had a little napkin dispenser and trash can by the door. If I am ever in the neighborhood for a clean bathroom, I guess I can go here. Just can't get any kind of retail theraphy here. boo hoo! read more

People in their thirties and older remember how these outlets drew crowds from all over the state about 10 years ago. Needless to say I was disappointed to see the ghost town it has become. It doesn't look like the city of Hillsboro has grown much so that could be why. Some small communities don't support growth and commerce. I went to the Nike Store and the Under Armour store and didn't really find much of a deal at either place. I'd recommend going to Round Rock Outlets about an hour south. read more

This outlet resembled somewhat of a mall. There is only a handful of stores that remain but only 2 worth going to; Nike Factory store and Polo Ralph Lauren. The Nike store is about the size of any factory store but I was surprised by the amount of selection they carried. Basically for women, you can get any Nike shorts for 15$ and under, Nike dri-fit tights for $25, and shirts for $10. For men, shirt ranges from $20-10, shorts and sweat pants for $20-15. At the Polo Ralph Lauren store I was able to get men's vneck and crew neck shirts for under $12!!! It's a good thing this place is an hr away...or I'd probably be very poor... read more

We made the trek to this wasteland yesterday. I was after new shoes and really not disappointed in that... There are several shoes stores, Reebok, Nike, Famous Brands, Skechers etc. but little else. From the reviews I see not a lot has changed since 2008 or so. One could relocate all the stores together and be able to walk to each instead of driving to one every 1/4 mile. I do remember when this was a viable mall, plenty of stores (all malls will have an empty or so) plenty of variety and choices....It's really a shame what this place has turned into ... We were in the area and stopped by the outlet mall and there isn't really anything left. stopped in the Sunglasses Hut and pretty much all the stock was defected, so if you want some Prada Sunglasses for 40% off that are broken, then hit that store up. they do have a Gap outlet and we went in there too. the store wasn't very organized and clearance stuff mixed with normal stuff, so there was no way to tell what stuff actually cost. hillsboro... time to step up your game. read more

This place went to shit. I remember coming here about 10 years ago and this place was thriving! I remember browsing and shopping at stores here would take me hours, but now I can do a quick glace over in my car and notice the stores that I once shopped at are now non existent here. SO sad...when I would come here about ten years ago this place was so busy that it even had a trolley to take people around to the great selection of stores. Hillsboro outlet malls still has a few stores but not like it used to I would drive over to Hillsboro and shop there on the weekend a few years ago it still has a few stores nike polo ralph Lauren etc still a good place to shop read more

How could this have failed on such a monumental level? The outlet stores in Terrell are full and busy! It just breaks my heart to see someone's dream and investment be such a total flop. Perhaps a new management plan is called for! Always hoping to see it do better. We need this here. We need the places to shop and we need the jobs this should be providing. Hands down the saddest set of Outlets I've ever seen. Don't think they're long for this world with all the empty spaces.

I write this review because I value Yelp and use it often in places I'm not familiar with. With that mentioned I feel it is my duty to warn other Yelper's that may consider driving here from any distance over 20 miles, don't. Very few stores left. Those that are left there are no great prices to enjoy. Most stores mark their prices up and then lower them to still a unreasonable price. It's like they stock items out of the clearance rack from other outlet stores The only "luxury" "clothing store has items that are not considered to me a bargain or a price acceptable for a outlet mall. read more

The hour drive WAS not worth it. I would rather go to the Allen or Arlington outlets than this. Indeed it is a sprawling ghost town. The stores are so far that even thinking of going into one and driving, yes driving, to the next one makes me want to shoot myself for coming down this way. Been to San Marcos and those were better as well. Wake up Hillsboro. People are willing to spend their money IF you had better variety and quantity of stores. It is a wonder the town still exists. Still not giving out my first 1 star, but this was close. Overall I didn't have a bad experience. Nike, Polo, and the Gap made the trip somewhat ok. But that is it, 3 stores in an ENTIRE OUTLET. BTW Those make up at least 20% of the stores, everything is closed down. What I don't get is, you have empty buildings, most of them, yet you decorate them as well for xmas? LOL Each had huge reefs and lights.Anyways, might as well just go to the mall. read more

I'm not much of a shopper type but had a great experience here. It's hard to find good help when needed and help that goes away when not needed. I can't stand pushy sales and did not run into this at all. The employees of multiple businesses were helpful yet not pushy. read more

The Nike outlet store and Bath and body works is what gives this outlet mall the 3 stars others wise it would get 1 star. There are not very many shops here anymore. A few of the shops seems to still be just too pricey. The Nike outlet store has some amazing prices on the shoes amazingly, this Nike outlet is cheaper then the one in Round Rock. read more

These outlets have seen better days, a lot of the stores have closed & nothing has replaced them. I only come here when I'm passing through. They do have a bath & body works & a Nike outlet which are my favorites. Other than those two I highly recommend looking up the store online before purposefully making a trip up here, if you've never been before. read more

Yes, this outlet is pretty empty. But I'm giving it four stars for the sole purpose of the Nike store. It's actually a clearance center which means it's cheaper than an outlet. I was in heaven! There was also a Levi's store right next door (which I would have gone into) and a Polo Ralph Lauren store that I'm excited to go back and look at. We were actually on our way to San Antonio and short on time so I couldn't go into those two stores but if/when I do I'll update this review. Bottom line: If you love Nike apparel & shoes it's worth stopping for. read more

I've live in hillsboro all my life the mall at one point was full of outlet stores but now the mall bass turned in to a ghost town with a big tv screen to advertise sparkling clean restroom which since nobody shops at the mall the restroom should be very clean. I've heard that the rent is sky high and to advertise on the tv screen is like 500.00 for two days to advertise. read more

Outlet Mall? At least 75% of the retail spaces are empty. Do not drive from far to this outlet mall you will be very disappointed. The stores that are open are far apart and you have to drive from one to the other. read more

This place sucks lemons. Its not full because the rent is to high . If they rented the spaces a little cheaper there would be more businesses there. Greedy mall owners are causing the decline in Hillsboro Mall. Its all about the money ; they must be poor now cause no ones there. It was thriving at one time with cafe's, trolley, entertainment venues, nice stores to shop, had celebrities coming there , etc. Its the people of the town like the committee/ city officials on the board of Hillsboro that dont want the town to thrive. They voted the businesses to close down ; so then the businesses for the industrial workers got booted out of work. Most of the industrial businesses closed down too. This is ridiculas that Hillsboro has to be this way. It could be a great little town if the city would just open their eyes and minds. Its dying and no one cares. The old foegies are doing it. So dont waste your time coming to Hillsboro, its useless. Only thing here really is Walmart and they are everywhere. read more
