She applied pressure using her feet while pushing upward against the ceiling. When she reached the center of my back, she actually jumped on my back three separate times. It didn't stop there. When she moved toward my arm, her bare foot went directly into my hand. At that moment I was extremely uncomfortable and just wanted the entire experience to be over. The next morning I woke up with my back covered in bruises. A massage should never leave someone feeling injured and shaken like this. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe or relaxing spa experience.

I called a bunch of hours later and was told she was available- and then- that she had actually left for the day. So I asked if anyone else could help us. This was almost $200 in charges I wasn't expecting at this point. Was told no. Asked for corporate- because I believed she was just avoiding us. Proven- since that she called. From the place- about an hour later. She was insanely rude- not apologetic- from the start. It definitely made me feel like being rude too- so I may have been. She very rudely told me my husband had already called and she refunded our monthly charge already. She did not want to call back- clearly. Also funny- we had scheduled a February massage and I got a text today that the massage therapist won't be available yet again (more than a month out) and I would need to reschedule. No thanks. I'll take my business elsewhere. Issues with scheduling are one thing. A woman escorted me into the room and told me to undress. I assumed she was the masseuse. I was wrong. Shortly after, a man walked in, no introduction, and started the massage. He seemed somewhat distracted, leaving the room multiple times. Also, the other woman entered the room multiple times to speak to the man. The music stopped and was not out back on for about half an hour. I had a hard time relaxing, based on the lack of music, street noise, man leaving the room, woman entering the room, and other guests coming in loudly. I am not sure if I will try them again, but if so, I will go during a weekday, when maybe it's quieter and staff is more attentive. The massage itself was decent, but relaxation is supposed to be part of the experience.

In fact, my lower back, legs and shoulders responded well last time, and I was ready for another strong stretching and deep tissue therapeutic hour. This time, except when I had to interact with her by resisting her pushing/pulling, I was more relaxed and was able to zone out and go somewhere within while she worked her magic. Marla dug deeper into my thighs which had absorbed the result of two herniated discs. Painful, but necessary to relieve stress and increase flexibility. Torquing my hips and legs to open space between my discs. Leaning her weight into my folded knees to help loosen the perpetual tightness in my lumbar spine. The time passed quickly, but at its end I felt great, and almost intoxicated from the work done. The spa allowed me to sit in a quiet room for a few minutes until that sensation ended.
