So for my daughter's sweet 16 I ordered their step Photo Booth. It was pretty cool looking I also ordered the backdrop for her photos. We had 165 people and only 75 photos were taken in a five hour period. That's my main disappointment is that no one that was working the Photo Booth told the MC to make announcements that there was a photo booth to go take pictures in. My son didn't even get any pictures because he didn't know there was a photo booth. And because it was such a big room and there were so many people end it was a tucked in a corner that it could be hard to miss. That was a huge disappointment!! I was bummed that I spent all this money and after the party people kept saying they didn't even know there was a photo booth. So many people didn't have their photo taken. Also, there were two people there working in the photo booth and the girl that was working the photo booth kept taking pictures of herself so when I got my link to get copies of the photos there were all these photos of this girl that nobody knew who actually worked with this company. Bizarre to say the least. I got the link pretty quick to order photos but unfortunately shortly after Covid started so I never got it done. The company was nice enough to let me order from them. And they made prints for me. The Equipment is clean the owner and his wife are super nice and accommodating. My next big bash I'll definitely use them. read more

I suggest thinking twice before booking Ovation Events. My husband and I booked them for our wedding, as they were a preferred vendor of our venue. We booked the Open Air Photo Booth for 4 hours. After we sent the balance two and a half weeks before the wedding, Ronnie asked us to select a backdrop and a logo, which we did. One week before the wedding a woman called me asking, again, to select a backdrop and a logo. I confirmed our selections. The day of the wedding there was an issue with the backdrop stand. Ronnie stated that the backdrop did not fit the stand they brought to the venue and had a completely different backdrop Uber'd to the venue. However, all of this took time that cut into our reception. I understand that things happen and don't always go exactly according to plan, however, this resulted in there being no backdrop for an hour and half of the four hours we paid for. As the attendant was trying to resolve this issue and it was not apparent that the photobooth was ready to operate, guests did not use the photobooth during that hour and a half. I emailed Ronnie explaining the situation and requested a partial reimbursement for the time that the stand/photobooth were not set up to operate. However, Ronnie did not respond to my email. I called him a few days later and he stated that this did not warrant a reimbursement. He was not apologetic, was dismissive of my concerns, not interested in resolving the matter, and continuously insisted on sending me screenshots of a text exchange between him and the photobooth attendant that night stating that he did not turn guests away from using the photobooth and that pictures could have been taken in front of a regular wall. I responded stating that my point all along has been that if there was no backdrop and the attendant was fiddling with the stand then guests were not likely to come up to take pictures, as it did not appear that the photobooth was set up/ready for guests to take pictures. We also PAID for a package that included a BACKDROP. Ultimately, two and a half hours of what should have been a four hour service were provided because the equipment we paid for was not set up. Ronnie then stopped responding to my texts regarding this matter. Additionally, the attendant was disorganized, allowing photos to collect on the floor for an extended period of time, not really engaging with guests, and he did not offer anyone the black and white option we paid for. He just automatically selected the same settings for everyone. We received a scrapbook at the end of the night, which contained just a few of the many pictures taken in the two and a half hours. I would NEVER book this vendor again. This company is extremely unprofessional and unjust with poor customer service. read more

My experience was amazing! The DJ was entertaining, funny and really made the party a great experience for all. He dressed up, played multiple games, handed out prizes and had kids engage in very fun dances. I would highly recommend Ovation Event planning. If I could give zero starts I would. Absolute waste of money. The attendant that was sent did nothing but stand there and stare into space. My guests didn't even know that there was a photo booth at the party. The ones that did notice and go in had No help. Not ONE guest received their pictures via text the way they should have. The props were old and dirty. When I emailed the company to express my frustration their solution was to mail me all of the print outs with doubles so that I can distribute to my guests. Only problem is when I received them they were glued into a photo album which completely defeated the purpose all together. I am part of an organization and we used this company in order to have a photobooth at our event this year- all I can say is WOW NUMBER 1: Ronnie was very helpful from the beginning to the end- I asked him many times to send me receipts, change the name on the ours and so on and he came through and did as was told. NUMBER 2: it was an all girls event and I only wanted a girl attendant to monitor the booth and she was a SWEETHEART DOLLFACE OF A JOY - I happen to get her name which was Carrie! From start to finish, I had a good experience. I rented the Mirror Ring for my daughters 16th birthday party. The attendants arrived super early, set up promptly and did a wonderful job managing the booth and doing the scrapbook. The pictures were great! The Mirror phot booth was so much fun. The teens loved it and we now have these great pictures to preserve the memories of this great event. So I was forced to book Ovation photo booth because my wedding venue only allows them. We were originally working with Nicole, and we specifically requested her because we loved her personality. Apparently she left the company a few months ago, and it would have been great if the management reached out to let us know but they didn't. I used Ovation for their open air photo booth for my wedding on 5/25/17 at Chateau Briand Caterers in Carle Place - I couldn't have been happier, and neither could our guests! There was a line forming because they were having so much fun and taking multiple pictures! Our attendant was great as well. The only thing I wished was that there were some wedding props, but nobody seemed to mind. As far as booking this vendor, I worked with Nicole and first met her at a Chateau Briand bridal showcase. She was fantastic to work with, and even gave me a deal with letting me choose a silver sequin backdrop which wasn't initially included. When it was time to choose the logo, that was a quick process as well. Overall, my husband and I were extremely happy with their services, and I would certainly use them again for any future events, and will continue to refer them to everyone we know. I also want to add that they were the most affordable photo booth company in the metro NYC area, and what was included was a guestbook with all of our guests photos with comments they left us. They also sent us a digital link so we could download the photos. Other companies were charging so much more for the same thing, and we got great customer service. We had such a great experience booking Ovation photo booths for our wedding this past Saturday. We began dealing with Ronnie and he was amazing the whole way through. He helped us pick out the best booth for our event, and it came with all the accouterments that make photo booths fun. Having Ovation's photo booth was a great addition to our wedding. This was the best attraction at our wedding. The people were lining up for this photobooth. We went with the green screen photobooth and this option allowed us to have multiple types of backgrounds to choose from, as well a multiple costumes for our guests to try on. We received a lot of compliments for our backdrop and red carpet that comes with our photo booth! However, the staff that was serving our guests today from this company was not helpful. There were many times our guests did not know how to use the booth and he was not available to help. When he was on the spot, he didn't give clear instruction to our guests that they can choose for extra strips or 4x6 photos (included in our package) The photos' quality didn't come out as good as they were when we first tried the booth at the bridal show case. Also, there were a few photos that came out totally black. The photo album was given to us on the day of the wedding. The digital photos were sent to us in a link after a month since our wedding. In general, the quality is ok and the backdrop with red carpet is amazing, but the service on the day needs to be much better and the props need to be more for us to recommend this place to others. read more

I used them and got my credit card statement and they charged me twice for the deposit. I called and was told I would be credited back the $300. Then my next statement came in and they never credited it back. I called again and was told to shoot them an email regarding it. I now have to call my credit card to put in a claim. I do not have the time to be checking my statement every month to make sure they did the right thing. On a good note, the attendants were fabulous and they were on time and very pleasant. I would just beware and check your credit statements to make sure you don't get double charged. Mistakes happen but why did they tell me they were crediting me a month ago and did not?? Ovation Photo Booth made my daughter Melanie's Sweet Sixteen extra special. We rented a mirror photo booth which was decorated specifically for her. They provided guests with props they could use to make the pictures more fun and posted the pictures in an album in where guests had the opportunity to write something. All guests received a printed copy and had the option of sending the picture(s) to their phone, email, and other accounts. The owner Ronnie was extremely nice and accommodated what I wanted. LIARS!!!! THIEFS!!!! DO NOT USE!!!! I met Ronnie the owner at a few bridal showcases. He was always very friendly and knowledge to me. So when it came time for me to hire a Photo Booth company I obviously decided to go with ovation because I felt Ronnie the owner was running a honest, reliable company. The day of the wedding his attendant Jessie came on time and was nice to all my guest. Everyone had a great time and i don't want to take that away from ovation. I had props that my bridesmaid and I hand painted for months before the wedding. I also brought a white lace umbrella that was made by a close family friend. I used them for my bridal party photos and then told ovation to allow my guest to use them for photo booth photos. BUT what upset me was the attendant Jessie took my props. I didn't think it was a big deal at first, I figured I would call Ronnie and he would give them back. Well, when I called Ronnie the next day to tell him, he said ohh i saw the umbrella a few minutes ago let me call you back. I called him a few times later that day and he never returned my calls. The next i texted him and he called me back saying that he doesn't have any of the props. That it was my responsibility to ask for them back. Since I didnt instruct Jessie the attendant to give them back, it was my fault that they are lost. First of all this a business owner scolding me because I didn't ask for them back. Im sorry I would think that you tell your employees not to take something that isn't theirs. I just feel that i was totally scammed by Ronnie, that acted like he close acquaintance. Find another company your event is too important. I paid for a service on an event held on SEPTEMBER 22, 2012 (Sweet Sixteen) they came everything seemed great. I was supposed to receive my product in two weeks from the event date (pictures, video messages) yeah I paid for the for the deluxe, according to my contract. NO pictures No videos two months later and they blamed it on Hurricane Sandy. It was an insult the refund they offered. This company does not understand that it is never about the money. We hired Ovation to provide a photobooth at our wedding at Giando on the Water. They were the venue's preferred vendor so we called them first. After talking to Ronnie, who was super helpful and friendly, we booked the open air photobooth. The open air booth also fit our budget-which was important to us. It was a total hit at our wedding! Our attendant was a sweetheart and helped to make sure all of our guests using the booth had a good time. Props were awesome and some of them even made it to the dance floor!! All of our guests had a blast and I am so happy we did the open air one- TONS of photobombing!! Made for great memories! Out of all the photo booth companies we choose Ovation. We were so disappointed by the people they sent and the way the strips came out. The picture quality was good but everything else sucked. Although our guest had fun all the strips were off center and the heads of our guest were cut off. The logo they put on the bottom of the strips was something I could of done myself. Anyway, the company did not deliver on the contract and when we refused to pay the amount for what the company did not deliver on (we are talking about a couple hundred dollars on a multi thousand dollar contract), the owner threatened to pull everything - lighting and all, which was already prepaid. Terrible experience the other night with this company. I rented 3 sports game for a party. There were 2 attendants that came with the game. When I arrived at the party at 1:00 which was the start time for my party, the games were NOT fully set up. I asked the attendant why and he said he had a phone call. Really? Ok so then the kids starting coming and they couldn't find any basketballs for the pop a shot. The attendants had to then go get them. About 15 min later I was told there were no pucks for the air hockey table. The attendants were no where in sight. Finally I had the maitre'd to my party track them down to bring the pucks. Both attendants immediately disappeared and 5 min later as soon as kids leaned on the air hockey table it was completely broken on the floor. I was told the legs were never even on stable. Also the dome hockey table was breaking apart as well. Well that air hockey was on the table a long time before we could find an attendant . And only one, the other was " on a call" . After a call with the owner, the brought in a foosball table to replace it. Anyway, the games were garbage , the attendants should absolutely be fired . I stupidity only cut the balance by 100$ but I shouldn't have paid at all. And because I'm a classy person, I still have tips to the attendants but I cut it in half. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Steer clear. Crappy, unstable games and the most useless attendants on the planet. Oh and they weren't nice at all. Also maybe if they were by the games they could have helped the situation a little better. read more
