Please beware…read more Quoted a price for tree removal and stump grinding. After about 2 months they came out and during the lengthy process they broke a window. The only reason we found out about it was because the tenant kindly called to let us know when they noticed. (It was a porch window so they didnt notice for a few days). A day or two later, the upstairs tenant called and reported a massive sound like something hit the roof - it was a giant branch and we shortly found one of the attic joists cracked. As if that weren't enough, they sent an invoice saying they were done so my partner and I excitedly went to see it only to find a giant stump still there. After calling they came and "ground it up". we returned to find a pile of shavings 4ft high piled *against* the side of the house. obviously We immediately took photos of this and sent it to them and a few other tree companies to see if this was normal. Obviously it wasnt and was "Ridiculous" and they'd "Never seen anyone do that". AL's replied that they always do that and that were responsible. So fed up, we hired someone else to finish. paid a professional $300 to haul the giant pile they made away only to find underneath.. the stump was still there! They ground enough to cover it with shavings then left. So we then paid the pro 850 to grind the stump and roots, then to power wash the side of the house that was now stained with soil and rotten wood. Grand finale: We obviously still wanted to pay them for what they did do, but even after *$1,000s* in damage and a nightmarish 3 months, they refused to reimburse or compensate us even 1¢. Please save yourself and call the next company.

Dad saw Al working in a neighbor's yard & got his card. I called and made an appointment for a consult. He walked the property with me and pointed out branches that were reaching over the house & garage. He came to my troubled tree and discovered there was a big hole at the bottom, put a stick in it, and we found out it was hollow. NOT GOOD. Eep! Dangerous. He gave a fair estimate, his lovely wife Shannon emailed me the estimate, and his large team, with Al, came within 2 weeks. They cut the big tree down, and another one growing too close to my house, removed the heavy logs and he ground out the stumps with the coolest piece of machinery I've ever seen. A pink remote control stump chomper. I wish I could load the video I took of that thing going! It was so cool. I had to hold myself back from asking to give it a try - the geek in me was mesmerized! I bet if my Dad was there he'd somehow try to convince my Mom to let him get one, it was that cool! He expertly cleaned up and shaped up my Crepe Myrtle - see the pictures. I'm hoping I'll get more flowers this year - last year it was kind of a dud. TL:DR: Fair price, quick turn around, great communication, did the job expertly and even cleaned up with a leaf blower.
