This location was closed the day we were there, but I am more into the history of the old buildings and I love to go inside and see the inside architecture as well. I wish it had been opened. History: Rose Center is Morristown and Hamblen County's community cultural center. Located in Morristown's first coeducational public high school built in 1892, the facility is named after Judge James G. Rose, Civil War Hero and Chairman of the School Board at the time when plans for construction of the school were initiated. The building operated as a school until 1975, at which time a group of local citizens organized, raised funds to replace the vintage roof, and re-opened the building as a museum and cultural center. This effort was part of the community's celebration of the nation's bicentennial. Thirty years later, the "castle" - as it is referred to by many of the thousands of school children who visit the Center on field trips and other occasions - is a busy place. The Center offers classes for children and adults, meeting space for community groups including the attractively renovated Jean Keener Community Room, rotating exhibits of artwork in the Edith Davis Gallery, historical displays in the Hal Noe Gallery, a look at early schooling in the Historic Classroom, concerts, summer programs for young people, and produces major annual events such as the Mountain Makins Festival, From Africa To Appalachia Celebration, and the International Festival. I have been here at least twice over the years. I recently visited this racetrack again. I had fun…read more There wasn't many cautions as it seems they have experienced race car drivers and the track is built is always great for racing. The race track officials seem to know what they are doing. It has great facilities. I had no problems parking and getting in and out of. Bathrooms have water and soap to wash your hands. Concession stands didn't have long lines and had a great selection and had reasonable prices. You can see the racetrack from any seat in the house with a great view. Anyway, I called the racetrack and they said it would be ok for me to camp out here overnight. However, when I woke up, I was couldn't get out because they had the entrance gate locked. So, I had to call the race director/ owner to remind him that they said I could stay over. It took about an hour for someone to come and let me out. But, I enjoyed coming here anyway.

As great as the maze was the, the younger kids had more fun on the in ground trampoline, petting zoo, sitting on the tractors for pictures, the really cool rustic playground, ect. The kids will not run out of things to do. You can purchase simple lunches like hotdogs and burgers but they have outdoor grills so you can bring you own food. The people around us were roasting smores. The vibe was so upbeat and easy going. It is worth a drive from the tourist areas. There is everything down home and nothing commercial, as grand as it is. For $11. each, the kids can do anything they want, as long as they want and pick their own pumpkin. Getting close to Halloween, the pumpkins were a little picked over. But, this place is awesome. No price gouging. It is about 15 minutes from the heart of Pigeon Forge where Magic Quest is.
