Well, we wanted to buy locally. So we bought furniture from Owens paid cash. We purchased a bedroom set, we went to the Plano store (super nice staff) to check out their merchandise and changed our order (less than 24 hrs). Spent on a more expensive bedroom set, plus bought a second Queen bed and paid cash. We placed the order in the phone with Cleburne store. We were told 3 weeks possibly. COVID, I completely understand. No word from store. Would call talk to staff Rachel and Amanda (manger so I was told). We called to get an update . Nobody from this store ever called me. According to the manager they can't call 150 clients about their orders. We called every week to get an update. Well, then they couldn't find our order (we had receipt). Then, we were told it was in the the original order (wrong). My guess they never ordered our 2nd set. Well, they finally have our bedroom set in only because we contacted them by chance. Though they weren't even sure they had our complete set in (pieces were on the floor) I was very upset and called and asked to speak to the owner and was told by Amanda, they do not talk to customers. I told Amanda I wanted to cancel my order and wanted a refund! I was told I couldn't return the furniture...so I felt like I would lose my money and HAD to take their product. So, I had to to reset the delivery date. Set up appt with Manager for a day and specific time. they came 1 1/2 hrs earlier (delivery guys were super nice). I had to cancel my other appointment and leave work earlier than expect. No calls to say they were coming earlier. I personally called Amanda, Manager on my way and wanted to complain and she said it was all my fault because am we changed our order in the first place. Hmm we paid cash bought not just one bedroom set but an extra bed. She asked well who set up your appointment, I said you did and she starting arguing, raised her tone and talked over me. I was in shock that an employee, a Manager no less took this attitude with me. So, I didn't know what else to do other than hang up that because I felt like was being attacked by the store that I just bought furniture from. I told the delivery guy because of her I will never shop there again. I will tell others my experience with Owens because I do read reviews before I purchase it shop somewhere. Word of mouth, I will tell others never to shop there because of horrible service!! And to treat a customer the way she treated me was uncalled for. So much for shopping locally!! So, we purchased 5/24/2020 and received furniture on 8/7/2020. DO NOT BUY FROM OWENS. Terrible service. Word of mouth travels faster than ads. read more

I purchased a beautiful table and waited anxiously for months for delivery when the day finally arrived the truck driver drove into a beautiful oak tree by my driveway which cost me over $700.00 to repair the sales woman was very polite when I called and was very sympathetic and advised me she would let the owners know what happened and they would get back to me. That happened in March and still no contact from the owners or anyone else at Owens. As a result of being ignored I'm now preparing to file suit in order to recover my damages needless to say I'll never shop there again and if this is how they treat customers who spent over $2000 in their store just imagine how they will treAt you!!! read more

I give one star rating only because I did get my full refund back from this store on a horrible furniture purchase (only after calling my bank). Save yourself time and money and don't shop here. Want a runaround and a wasted trip to go through them head to this place. There are excellent places to shop for good high quality furniture. Drive a little further and take yourself to Granbury and Check out a nice furniture store just right off the square. You will be thrilled with what you find. There are honest furniture stores who take pride in knowing how to talk to and treat their customers with full respect. read more

Really terrible service by them. I purchased the White Eliza and the delivery took more than a month. i had many issues with the delivery company but owens never bothered to call or check up on me. after making several calls they still didnt seem to care that a customer was having issues and no resolution was offered, finally i had to make it work. the products are good but not worth all this hassle. read more

What a great place to find quality furniture. We bought our bed and our dining room table there. Both pieces are very well built and should last us for as long as we them. The dining table goes from 5ft up to 11ft by adding three self storing leafs. Love it! read more

This place sold my furniture to someone else after I purchased it, got my order completely wrong, had to wait months for over $15,000 of furniture after losing everything in a house fire, and they still owe me 2 chairs and now they went out of business!!!!!! Horrible people! I'm not surprised they are out of business but they owe me money or furniture!!!!! read more

They are now in bankruptcy proceedings. Doors are locked, letter on the window...if you have claim to paid for but undelivered merchandise.

If you are looking with children they have a really neat "kids room" my kids loves playing with the toys and arcade games while we shopped and purchased furniture! The staff were really friendly and relaxed! The furniture speaks for itself... this is a great store! read more
