I received a call from Shay notifying me of unfortunate (albeit, temporary) news that their store was flooded and they are currently working at the Mt. Juliet location if I was still interested in keeping my appointment. I really appreciated her prompt call and she was so friendly, too. I ended up calling in the morning about some medication questions and if that would affect my waxing. Through the entire process, Shay was not only professional, but she was personable, too. She made a great first impression on the EWC locations here. Annalee was my aesthetician and she, too, was professional and listened to my concerns about being on hydrocortisone. She did a strip test to see how my skin would react and made the decision that I was good to continue. She was pleasant to work with and made me feel comfortable and secure. I don't want to name my particular stylist as she really did do a good job on the haircut, but there was a major issue that will prevent me from coming back. I just want to bring it up to management so that there is better protocol.  My stylist used the same hairbrush on me as she used on the client before me, only removing hair from it. Why didn't I say anything? Because you don't complain to someone with scissors who is about to cut your hair, and when you need the cut badly, there's no walking out. There were no Barbicide containers at her station or any other station. It was a full house of stylists while I was there, and I didn't see cleaning solutions at any station.  I liked my stylist and her work, but the sanitation practices were not such that I would return. I hope this feedback can institute some standard practices, as it is a health and safety issue that affects all clients. If the majority of salons in Nashville don't already use and implement Barbicide and sterilization practices, they need to. Salon Galleria is not alone in falling short, but they still need to address it.
