Horseback riding: -Fitted on horse and ride out around 6pm -Rider weight must be less than 225 lbs. -It's better to ride out long before dusk -Horses are sturdy and range all different ages. -The ride duration is 1.5 hours. -The trails are wooded and elevated steeply in certain areas. Hayride: -Tractor drawn carriage with no sides. -Sit crisscross applesauce facing inward to avoid being hit in the face by branches. Western BBQ: -Served hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, soda and water, and s'mores. I was expecting more in the line of meat but it's worth the experience for the price. DJ/Music: -The DJ played a variety of country tunes in the beginning. Once everyone was fed, the music shifted to line dance tunes. The instructor taught us how to do the cotton eye joe, Cupid shuffle, chicken dance, and a couple other well known dances.

But Stoneview is definitely the longest time my horses have been boarded. I hope it's like home for them by now. I love the people at Stoneview Farms. It's no drama, no bossing, no rudeness, and no stress. Stoneview Farms is a place where people come to enjoy their time with their horses. I really appreciate that. The schedule is very open but I always check for availability on special days. So far I can visit my horses anytime: 8 pm or 6 am. On holiday days or weekends. This is important since I live 35 miles away and I have a very busy schedule. The barn is kept extremely clean. The horse stalls are 14x14 large. Perfect for really big horses like mine. It has windows that are open in the summer. It never really gets too hot in this barn. I think it is because of the altitude of its location. There is always a nice breeze. The farm also has a large arena, a round pen, a jumping field and a track. The horses are not crowded in their paddocks which means there is plenty of green landscape for our equines to enjoy. The Taddeo family and their employees work tirelessly in improving the previously neglected farm. Every month there is something new, something improved and it makes everyone happy. Its already a gorgeous farm that suits our pocket sizes. Some boarders are serious horse people. They will ride under any weather, and their horses are worked almost daily in their skills. That is always inspiring to me. Some horses there are retired but they look very happy and cared for by their owners. Some horses belong to Eric Taddeo and these are race horses that are worked out almost daily. I really enjoy seeing all this activity. But nobody is preaching and its a very relaxed atmosphere without die hard rules. I do recommend this farm. It's a pity they don't have an indoor or a warm space to hang out in the winter with my children. But I'm certain that eventually it will happen... I love their new instructor Laura Juhlin and she has brought in so much business by teaching horse ridding to children and adults. She is also very easy going and knowledgeable of her horses. My daughter had a horrible experience with trying to book a lesson for her 2 daughters. The girls…read more had attended the summer program for several years. They also had a couple of fall lessons over the last few years. She tried to book lessons for a weekend in October and was very aggressively pursued by a young teenager giving lessons to book. Although the price was now much higher, she decided to book 2 half hour lessons for the girls ($200). She was charged $2,500 for some package. The teenager had referred to a package but it was not clear to my daughter that she was being asked to sign up. How do you charge a person that amount without any indication that this charge is being applied to review? What kind of sales strategy is this to make young teenagers hound clients to lure them into a package deal that is not fully explained and charged to their account without giving them the opportunity to review charges and agree to them? This is a scam!

What a cool spot. Hanging out at pig farms isn't a regular activity of mine, but being involved in…read morethe culinary world, this is where a lot of the high end restaurants are getting their pork. The magalitsa pigs are a special breed from hungary and since they are living on this nice farm you don't have to worry about gross, unsanitary conditions or chemicals/antiobiotics in the meat. Everything I have had from here has been awesome, including the bacon burgers (yes the bacon is already ground into the burger-revolutionary), sausages and larger cuts of pork (I don't cook it, I just eat it). It's a small operation and when I went no one was there but one staff member, a former chef at a Michael White restaurant. He was super friendly and informative. It's really laid back and isn't a formal retail store. It seems like they are mostly distributing the product, but they didn't have a problem with letting you into the freezer or refrigerator to pick out your product. Quality comes at a price, and there is nothing like going right to the source for fresher meat. I might not go out of my way (hey, I'm a city girl!) to go back, but if you find yourself nearby pick up something good! The pigs are a little ways down the road and I don't think they are really there for your viewing pleasure, besides they smell.
