Brilliant helpful dentist. Fair prices. Uses laser instead of drill for most things so no needles! Highly recommend!

Can't recommend this practice enough. I had a tooth…read moreextraction as a result of decay. On a personal note, the decay was the result of a neglectful childhood. Not once was I made to feel uncomfortable, or judged as to how the decay occurred. The empathy shown by Dr Michael Filosi was to an excellent standard, and made an unpleasant event the best it could be. I was consistently reassured throughout the process, and knew I was able to pause the procedure if needed. Dr Filosi was attentive to my body language and listened when I said there was pain. The professionalism and kindness of the entire practice and especially Dr Filosi has set this practice apart from the rest, and has made a difference in how I view going to the dentist. The follow up care, personalisation, and making you the centre of the treatment has made this practice the top of dental standard, and the only practice I'll go to. Thank you Dr Filosi and the team of Fullarton Park Dental.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed recently (two days ago, so if I'm thinking well of him at this point then he must have done something right) and could not have asked for a better doctor. Not only did he do a wonderful job removing my wisdom, he left hardly any remnants that he did so - I only have minor swelling and pretty much no pain! He has a wonderful bed side manner and is very approachable to ask questions of. All in all it was, I believe, the best possible experience I could have had in having my wisdom teeth removed.

Advanced Dental is affiliated with several health funds and as someone with BUPA (the old Mutual Community) the amount of money I have to pay for a check up is slashed compared to where I went before. To have my teeth cleaned and polished and checked by the dentist, I pay nothing. Absolutely nothing, my health fund picks up the rest! Such a relief compared to other dentists! The clinic is slick and modern and with TVs in the ceiling, awkward conversations can be negated by watching the telley to fill in your time and with a full suite of specialists, all your care can be done in one place. All the clinicians here present well and are very professional. A lovely place, I reccommend this to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Gingivectomy A procedure used to eliminate gum pockets that can collect bacteria which cause gum/periodontal disease, usually performed on back teeth. Guided Tissue Regeneration (Periodontal Grafting or GTR) GTR/regeneration is carried out to regain some of the bone lost after severe periodontal disease has occurred on one or more teeth. Crown Lengthening A procedure carried out to lower the gum line around a tooth thus exposing more of the tooth for a dentist to prepare and insert a crown over the tooth. Alternatively this is done to remove excess gum that can grow around teeth particularly in younger patients after orthodontic treatment or patients on medication. Dental Implants Used to replace missing teeth by inserting a titanium rod into the jaw bone. Once this fuses with the jaw bone a porcelain crown can be screwed over the top of the implant thus replacing the lost tooth. Bone Grafting (Guided Bone regeneration or GBR) Bone grafting is carried out to replace lost bone usually prior to implant placement Sinus Grafting A form of bone grafting done in the upper posterior jaw to facilitate implant placement Exposure of unerupted teeth Removal of gum tissue and bone overlying the tooth is removed to expose the impacted tooth underneath

There was an elderly gentleman who was also checking to see how much longer he would be waiting and he has been there 4 hours, while another patient was told after waiting for over an hour that his dr had left for the day. Seriously unorganized, I can understand that some appointments can take longer but these waiting times are ridiculous and it seemedas though it was across several doctors.

It's not often that people look forward to going to the dentist. Ok, so maybe I'm not quite at the…read morestage where I look forward to it, but Smile Care Dental has certainly provided me with a much more pleasurable dentist experience than anywhere else I've been before. The first thing you notice is how modern the clinic is - right down to the magazines in the waiting area. When was the last time you saw the latest magazines in a waiting area?! There are always newspapers & apples on the counter that you are encouraged to take. After all - an apple a day keeps the doctor (or dentist) away! The staff are all super friendly & the dentist & hygienist really take the time to talk & get to know you - you certainly know you're in good hands. Those big, scary examination chairs are made that bit better with TVs above them so you are distracted from whatever is going on in your mouth! My favourite part is the goody bag you get at the end - complete with a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss & lip balm, as well as a reminder card for your next appointment. No one loves going to the dentist, but these guys do everything possible so you can grin & bear it...see what I did there?
