We have had carpets and upholstery cleaned many times over the last 43 years of home ownership, and we must say that All Star Chem-Dry service rates among the best, if not the very best. Phil, our designated cleaner, sent a reminder of when he was scheduled to arrive an hour ahead of time and sent a message letting us know of his arrival. He was friendly and personable but also efficient in setup and work. He worked tirelessly for over two hours. There were a few stubborn clay stains from our pet's paws that Phil deep-cleaned repeatedly until they disappeared. In addition, the price estimate was "spot on." Once Phil arrived, the items to be cleaned were given an up-close exam and a final price for cleaning. I liked knowing what the final bill was going to be before Phil began cleaning. Well, it's done, now -- and our family room is simply beautiful -- and the living space smells especially fresh and clean. We thank you. [First visit charge: Approximately $360] Update! We received a timely call back from David which was pleasing but the conversation went downhill from there. He immediately brushed us off and referred us to Stanley Steamer. David stated they had better prices and he was booked out with an obscene amount of time uncharacteristic for carpet cleaning. We were never quoted a price. The call experience was brief and cold. This left us perplexed and unsettled. In disbelief, we phoned a friend to help confirm our suspicions. This friend has a more accepting name and voice we suppose. Our friend was able to get pricing and immediate availability for carpet cleaning. It's dissappointing in the year 2025 that we can still be discriminated upon via phone for a simple service considering the state of this economy; especially considering that our payment, like anyone else's, is equally valid.
