Full Moon yoga on a full moon night... HOW CLEVER IS THAT. It didn't hit me until the instructor…read morementioned the full moon and I thought it totally makes sense now! But really, this was such a great experience, especially for someone new to the area and to yoga. It was a little intimidating at first being around so many people who are good at it! Pineapple Studios, Jess, was an amazing instructor who made it feel so welcoming and comfortable. Whenever we moved into new poses or held poses, she never made it feel like you had to if you weren't capable. Always providing other options and reminding us to breathe in and take on the experience and calmness of the night. ARRIVE Hotel is gorgeous. I want to stay there even though I only live 10 minutes away. It looks like a gorgeous space, it was awesome doing yoga in the courtyard. It seems like such a lax place to hang out and spend time vacationing. The snacks and refreshments from Adapt Bar & Kitchen we so tasty! The ginger drinks and THOSE BROWNIES. Wow, I could have eaten 100 of those, good thing I didn't. All of their items were so unique and tasty, I eventually went to visit the shop to get a smoothie I was so in love. THANKS YES FOR THIS EXPERIENCE!

I especially loved the Adapt team that was there sharing their story and some of their goodies. The juices and snacks they shared with the a yelp team were absolutely delicious. They also gave gift bags with some practical things in it. Have not been to an event in a while, it was a great reminder of some of the different businesses and people you get to meet as a part of being active with the Yelp community!!

What a way to spend a Sunday morning! I could get used to this. My friend Trisha and I attended the…read moreYelp! Elite Golden Salon and Dry Bar party this am and I had so much fun. After meeting Dani and grabbing a mimosa, I was greeted by the owner who asked if I wanted a blow out. Having rolled out of bed it was a no-brainer. She gave me a great shampoo and blowdry and styled my hair to the point where it felt light and with a natural wave. It was beautiful! I wanted to go out instead of to the soccer fields. We met with the owner of Missio, who provided the products for the event while sipping tea from Tama. The tea was amazing as usual and the women from Missio were so passionate about their products and their efforts to fight human trafficking. I really enjoyed talking with them. As we were leaving, Dani gave us a goodie bag full of pampering items. I will definitely go back to Golden Salon and loved this event.

Dani did a great job hosting the event and providing different samples from many businesses,…read moreincluding tea from Tama Cafe and pastries from Far from France. The goody bag also had many different samples I am looking forward to trying! I tried the Mango Verde tea from Tama Cafe, which had a very light mango and tea flavor. It wasn't my favorite flavor. The pastries, on the other hand, were delicious. I tried the spinach and cheese, egg, and chocolate. All were good but my favorite was the spinach and cheese. The pastries were flaky, as they should be and just decadent. Some of the products Golden Salon and Dry Bar Staff uses are from MISSIO, a hair product company that exists to inspire and empower a movement of people in the fight against human trafficking, as described on their website. MISSIO representatives were present at the event and were very friendly. Calan from Golden Salon and Dry Bar washed and blow-dried my hair, using MISSIO shampoo and conditioner. After blow-drying my hair, she used MISSIO coconut cleansing powder dry shampoo and MISSIO texture paste. All of the products had a pleasant light scent. Calan was very friendly and did a nice job with my hair. This place would be great for anyone looking to pamper themselves. I would definitely like to come back to this place to try a haircut! Thank you Dani for organizing this event!!

I stopped in twice yesterday. The first visit was fine -- nothing memorable, but fine. Geneva was…read morebartending both times. The second visit, however, came with a greeting I've never heard in my fifty‑plus years: "You've been out all day. I can't serve you because I'll be liable if you're over served." I've bartended before. I understand the responsibility. But I was never asked a single question about what I'd actually been doing. For clarity: we had lunch at Michael's Seafood before our first visit. I had one non‑alcoholic seltzer at Island Beverage, and my partner had a four‑flight sampler. After that, we went thrifting and shopping at Goodwill, Lowe's Foods, and Dollar Tree. No drinking. No bar‑hopping. Nothing even close. On our second visit, Geneva gave us water and let us charge a phone -- and I do appreciate that. But being told "you've been out all day" instead of "welcome back" was unnecessary, inaccurate, and frankly insulting. It was an assumption presented as fact, and it was embarrassing. What made it even more absurd was watching Geneva continue to serve patrons who were clearly intoxicated while I sat there with a glass of water. So here's the takeaway: Don't go in twice in one day. Apparently that alone is enough to get treated like you've been drinking all over town. After this experience, I won't be going in on any day. I hope the staff can handle situations like this with actual communication instead of jumping straight to conclusions.

They had a more than ample selection of local brews on tap, and all that we sampled were delish. They had a huge selection of wine and even served wine by the glass. There were a ton of games to play while you sip, which will be on our agenda next time. The bartender couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming to 2 non-locals! Next time we are bringing the rest of the crew!
