Person answering the phone has no idea what they are doing. They tell you your trash isnt out in time when I know for a fact it was. Any other trash company would offer to fix it in a timely matter, not make you wait for what youve been paying for. If 7:00 am is too early you should probably rethink your service route timing. Great service! They've always been on time unless sudden weather changes occurred. The price is great. The lady I've talked to in the office has always been nice and returns my calls if I leave a message. I personally got about a dozen neighbors to switch from Rep. Svcs to Ozark Refuse... initially for the price savings, but most love the better service in addition to half the cost. Rep Svcs charges fuel surcharges based on national average of fuel, Oz. I've had Ozark refuge for over a year and the last five weeks they haven't picked up my trash. They just refuse to because there's a little puddle at the end of my driveway. You're a trash man. I usually wait before posting a review but ozark Refuse deserves better than that. Called and set up services with no problem. The woman was kind (thank you!) and a breathe of fresh air in comparison to the last company we won't even give power to by naming. I called Wednesday. Thursday (today) the bin was here. But the best part is, whoever dropped it off was respectful of our property and brought it all the way up our driveway. It was kindly placed in between the 2 garage doors. Whoever you are.. thank you for the small kindness that goes a long way. $60 for 3 months is the cheapest in the area that I've found. Also the best customer service. I cannot say enough great things about this company and I'm only 2 days in. They certainly know how to make an impression!!! I would give more stars if I could! read more

Having been a customer for many years I can say it was a great ride for the 1st 10 yrs or so and then something seemed to change. Ozark refuse service is always great and always cheap until you have an issue, However these people have an issue with people who have an issue. After reading all the negative reviews, (And they have a bunch of them) I've come to the conclusion that like me, people subscribe to their service because they were the cheapest and left mostly because of the terrible customer Service. Most times you get what you pay for. I left this service for most of the reasons stated by other people without complaining to anyone. I just called and cancelled. Absolutely horrible company. Employees are hateful, will lie about why they don't pick up the trash. When you question them about it, they post lies on their facebook page. On top of all that, they refuse to refund the money that was paid in advance for services they never did. The only reason I gave the one star is because I couldn't give negative stars. I would much rather get a vasectomy from a drunken Edward Scissorhands than deal with this company. He threatens to come get the cart from us but refuses as his company name is (ozark refuse) to get the damn trash that has been sitting and adding to it for 3 weeks now! The tuff guy says he can come get the cart but also said they would be there today to pick it up and it's only 3pm. It's now 6:36pm and no sign of tuff guy and/or any of his trash trucks either. i really wish he was tuff in person just as tuff as his google types. I replied to an email at 4:00 PM that was originally sent to me from Amanda Wilson earlier in the week because I knew they weren't in office. I called up there later this morning (Monday) because I never got a response. I was told "the driver came by around 2:30pm and didn't see my container" which was sitting by the curb. So I call up to ask when they will come get it but not once did they ever take responsibility of it. So I cancelled my service through them. I posted a review on Google and the response from the "owner" was unhinged in a way, saying they don't respond by email even though they emailed me first about something regarding my services. I looked back through other comments and this "owner" might be the toughest guy in the 417. Most unprofessional encounter I have had in a long time. You're a service company. This morning my trash and recycling was picked up, but my recycling bin was missing. I called them up, they said they didn't take it. I told them, in that case, it was stolen. They of course, don't bother putting serial numbers on their recycling bins like they do for their trash bins. They wanted to charge me $20. So I cancelled my recycling service. read more

Best trash service in the area! The drivers are friendly and efficient. Great customer service. The only time that my trash was "missed" was when I forgot to put it out on time. Absolutely HORRIBLE people. They didn't pick up my trash three weeks in a row because the driver claimed they couldn't get down the street because there were work trucks on the road. Funny how I have camera footage of other trash trucks moving up and down my street all day long with no issues. And now this week when they didn't pick up my trash they claimed it wasn't there which is absolute bull! I would Not Recommend This Trash Service To Anyone! Where I work there is road construction going on in the street so we All working in this Building have to use the back gate to get in. This is in Springfield Mo. My trash was to be picked up on Tuesday May 23rd, Their EXCUSE was they drivers could not get into the parking lot. Funny how Queen City Trash figured it out. I called and called and on Friday I called it still had not been picked up and was told it would be picked up before the holiday Weekend. Well needless to say this did not happen. And because they Couldn't Figure out how to get in this parking lot, our trash ended up being scattered all over the parking lot along with Our Neighbors who use them as well. I have been with Ozark Refuse for al.ost 2 years now. They are affordable. If they are off schedule due to weather or a holiday, they post the reschedule time on Facebook. They never ding me for extra charges. They never leave my trash on the curb not picked up like the other companies. If they are busier than usual or have an unscheduled delay or breakdown, they might show up a lot later in the day, but I've never had a bad experience with them. I love their service. read more

I just read another review that had the exact same thing happen as them. Our trash can was stolen and when I called asking for help, they said everything on my account was fine, but it would be $100 for a replacement. The woman on the phone told me to check my neighbors, and she said that there wasn't serial number for my can. My neighbors didn't steal it, and if anything I think the truck driver forgot to put it back after dumping it, but that's not my fault and I won't be paying for a replacement. read more

They bill you for months you've already paid for, easily proven by my bank account. Will be spreading the bad word.

They don't answer the phone when you call during business hours, you get to play phone tag. They do not give notice when they increase the rates, my service randomly jumped from 68 to 90 every three months, which is when I decided to go with another company. It took days to get ahold of someone, my service was canceled on Nov 4, it's Dec 15 and the can is still sitting in my driveway. I left a detailed and honest Google review and got called a liar and was further insulted. The owner is clearly immature and does not have a clue how to give even acceptable customer service. Go check out any Google review that criticizes the company and every response is a childish and argumentative, and in my case completely false. One positive thing I can say, is the service was extremely reliable, but I will NOT give my hard earned dollars to a company that treats customers badly. Have had two instances in the past month or so that this vendor has not picked up our trash. The first time, I called in and they advised me that the failure to pick it up was due to the trash being filled with 'yard waste' which they defined as brush or rubbish/hedge clippings; I often work from home so I went out and checked and this was of course not the case. That time they at least arranged redelivery, but it put me off a little that they were willing to just accuse me of that without checking... or that they did and received a falsified report. This time round, they mused at the perplexity that they had missed the same spot more than once but indicated they wouldn't come out a second time for pick up citing their heavy workload. I've been a customer for ten years and always been happy...until the last year when service has been getting sketchy. They got spotty picking up the trash and if there was more than a dumpster it probably would be left there in the yard for me to pick up the mess. Finally, I called and complained but my call wasn't returned. I called back later and customer service totally defended their practices and told me that's how it was. We have had Ozark Refuse for years. Always friendly and professional. Drivers are courteous. Reasonably priced and reliable.

They were as good as anyone else till they forgot to bill my card when I called. On January 13 I noticed my garbage can was missing I called to see what was up and they said they tried to call me weeks prior. Later after I checked with my phone records, I found that I called THEM November 3rd to pay my bill and had offered the phone call I had recorded to prove it. When she realized I had evidence she got ruder and decided to wipe my bill and told me to find someone else. So I get punished for their screw up. When a business is behind the times with something as simple as a bill transaction, let alone missing pick up days which I let slide, and then can't even take being called out on their own mistakes, then I can't in good faith recommend them to anyone. I've had horrible service with Patriot Disposal (signed up for 3 months in advance, card was charged, trash can never delivered, refusal to give us our money back & to top it off - now we have trash just piling up ) Needless to say, I called Ozark Refuse in a panic! Excellent service, billing, price, and no automated answering service like other places. Family owned and operated and you can tell. So nice to speak with a person when you call and she's always friendly and helpful! We switched to them from from another company that sold to a larger one we were trying to avoid due to bad customer service reviews. Customer service here has been great.
