Let's gooooooo I…read moreactually, embarrassed to admit, walked right past it you have to know where you're going!!! Quaint, beautiful, the decor was on point and not in your face overdone. Before I go into the gist of the menus and staff.... I do need to say the best espresso I've also had thus far - not brewed too hot and had wonderful light earth/stone fruit notes. Okay, so they give you a little "fob" with your menu. Some may think this like an ordering number or tracker etc. lol nope - turn it on and explore baby! The whole menu is a map to explore and it's as fun as you want. The staff will help guide you if you ask . If you want a great drink and a little reminder keepsake dare I recommend remember remember

Kari's Rating 8.75/10…read more TLDR: -Very dark ambiance -Based off the movie "V" for Vendetta -Expect to pay around 285-395 for speciality drinks The AnonyouS bar is a little dark speakeasy tucked away in an alley hidden in downtown Prague. The server drops off dark felt bound drink menus and then gives little Black light flashlights. As you open the menu, you're greeted with white writing on black pages with three flavor profiles per drink. The backlight revels more about your cocktail of choice based on a flavor profile. A lot of the drinks seem cool and many have a very dark liquor profile. The drinks are a little pricy-as expected in a handcrafted speakeasy very little seating. Overall, a really cool place that didn't seem very touristy, but made our experience extra special as it felt like a spot only the locals knew. Drinks are made strong, so pick your profile with intention.

I wish I lived in Prague so I could have my birthday party here. Is it goofy and weird? Yes. Is…read moretheir love for the genre genuine? Also yes! You begin your descent down a black spiral lined with posters from all the beloved classics. The staircase is even topped with a Phantasm sphere. You enter the red-lit bar and it's full of memorabilia and mannequin figures of our villainous heroes. The super -friendly punk goth bartenders let us know to pick a table number, order, then they'd bring our drinks. This place is kind of sprawling with little dark corners to sit and famous demons perched throughout. Everywhere you look you'll see posters, evil faces, or bits of flesh hanging from the ceiling. And an arcade room? This bar has the vibe of a creepy sex club in a good way. The drinks! They have lots of movie-themed shots and cocktails. Most look somewhat sweet. I had a Re-Animator which comes with a syringe of sticky liquor inside. You can choose several of the cocktails in Spooky (regular) or Slasher (extra big) size, and you can straight up order extra booze in any drink. I kind of love this place. Embrace its blood-drenched silliness.

I'm all for historic buildings .. but if I had known in advance this was a Stalinist-era building…read morewith the same amenities as an old Poliburo office ... I would have probably steered clear of this place. Where to begin? This place is now known as the Hotel International now that new management has taken over the premises. This building dates back to the mid-20th century and was a gift from Stalin to the people of Czechoslovakia during the cold war era. In many ways this place has literally not changed since those days. Yes the rooms had been modestly refurbished, but generally it has retained the old, dreary feel of a cold war/communist era building. When you're walking through the hallways it wouldn't be surprising to see some KGB agent or Soviet general walk out of one of these rooms. The doors remind me of an old office building. The rooms themselves are spacious but poorly laid out. The beds here seriously suck. Our room also had an extra third bed for no real apparent reason and they would not move it (even though it ate up a ton of space in our room) because "it's a triple room" (WTF). Anyway, back to the room itself. I mentioned the beds are shit. They are because the sheets felt gross, the comforters were thin and the bed felt like one of those crappy spring beds you find in a cheap motel in the US. Unless you're dead tired from a day of touring around Prague, don't expect to sleep well here. The showers and everything else were not particularly memorable and the room felt dirty overall. The carpets were old and gross. The climate control was also non existent. The room felt stuffy and hot and I had to open the windows full blast (even though it was like 40-50F outside) just to get some air circulating inside. The restaurant here also sucked ass. The quality of the breakfast was pretty shitty though at least the coffee machine was decent. Also the lobby was pretty nice and had a somewhat grand (if not old/Soviet) feel to it. Long story short, unless you want to relive history or have a keen interest in staying in an old cold war hotel, you're way better off staying somewhere else.
