    Club Lounge-Breakfast

The Crowne Plaza Prague is a large hotel 4 Star hotel which is fairly well located to the city centre. It is a very interesting building which dates back to communist days. The staff were friendly and we received a warm welcome at check in. We had booked a Club Room and as Platinum IHG Rewards Club member we were upgraded to a 10th Floor Tower Suite room with access to the Club Lounge-the Sky Lounge on the 14th Floor, The Club Lounge offered a reasonable continental breakfast with some hot food items and a range alcoholic drinks were available during the evening however the food selection was very limited. There is a 1980's feel to the hotel with the communal areas really needing an upgrade. There is no pool and the restaurants were expensive. The suite had everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel including 2 x TV's, Mini Bar, Air Conditioning and internet but the CRT TV's could do with replacing with flat screens. Overall the Crowne Plaza Prague provides a good option for business and leisure travellers alike, particularly if you are looking for an IHG property with good Elite customer recognition. We enjoyed the stay and would stay here on next visit to Prague depending on other options available.

They cleaned my room 2 of the 3 days I was there. They don't offer you a separate shower gel and shampoo, apparently it's a two in one thing. And of course, no hotel offers toothpaste anymore unless it's like high end. Villa Lanna offers free breakfast from 7:30-9:30 which was pretty good. The hot selection changes a little day to day, but you have your staples (bread, fruit, granola, yogurt). You really can't complain much about the breakfast. I was here for a science meeting and they catered our lunch too, so I got a chance to have a sampling of other foods and honestly, the quality is pretty good. They serve up an array of not just Czech food, but we even had some curry and rice on one day. One thing that I feel was a little annoying but not a deal breaker was their small plates. They only have small (but very nice) plates for you to use when you grab your food. While you can go back for seconds, it was a little annoying that's for sure. The Villa has different styled rooms, singles and doubles, and they have a patio and gazebo that I feel is used often for weddings and the like. It does have a pretty romantic feel to it, at least on the outside. The rooms are pretty standard. Though, I have to add that the interior walls of the main building has quite an impressive fresco painted. It is quite pretty and may be a selling point for the place. Lastly, this vila is a little further from the city center, but there is a metro stop about 10 mins walk from the Villa. You can obviously walk too, and it is about 30 mins to walk to Charles Bridge from the Villa. There is a police station right next door, and seems pretty safe. I've walked to and from at odd hours, and I didn't feel like people were following me or anything. I will say though, the receptionists have a struggling grasp of English, and I've gotten quite a few eye rolls from them as I tried to communicate my message. At one point, the receptionist didn't understand that I had ordered a taxi and kept trying to order me a taxi and gave me an eye roll when I told her I didn't need one. But otherwise, it's pretty good.

They are cleaned daily with great care to detail. Service - excellent in every way. Front desk was always pleasant and helpful. Michal the chief concierge was AMAZING and helped us in many ways, including exceptional restaurant recommendations. It is peaceful and serene and yet a short walk to the Charles Bridge and up the hill to Prague Castle. We took the once weekly tour of the adjacent monastery with one of the resident monks and it is NOT TO BE MISSED. In short, if you are going to Prague you should not want to spend that stay anywhere else but the Augustine

The champagne upon check-in in the lobby beautifully decorated for Christmas was such a perfect welcome. Being so close to Charles Bridge and the Malostranska subway stop made getting around very easy. And yet the hotel was quiet. Caution exiting the hotel driveway through! Look both ways. The staff at breakfast were fantastic and took great care of us. We enjoyed the buffet most days but the menu items looked delicious. We enjoyed our free beer sample and a cocktail at the bar in the Refectory. Our only complaint would be that the room was warm for our taste and we couldn't quite figure out how to get the A/C on (or if it was an option). The bathroom was especially warm, we called it "the spa" We slept with the windows open and all was well. If you're looking for a luxury stay, you can't do much better.
