It was memorial weekend so the place was packed and fully booked but they were still able to accommodate my request. They also planned a BBQ and a band to play since it was memorial weekend. Folks who paid for mining was able to attend the dinner. The band could not play because it ended up raining. The bathrooms were clean and was always stocked with toilet paper. Shower was also clean and had good pressure with hot water. There's no reception here but there is WIFI (star-link?) available around the campground. I drove here with a Tesla Y and was able to charge at the campground with the full amperage (30A - 24A for the vehicle). Cassie was very helpful with her knowledge about opal mining and we went out to the tailings for a day to try our luck. We found a few pieces of small opal and petrified wood pieces.

Patriotic small "living" ghost town. This park is a great destination for a group with toys(quads,…read moreside by sides). Nearby access to the Santa Rosa Mountains for breathtaking views and fun riding . Across the street there is a unique local bar, for adults to enjoy a drink and tables with ice cream and sodas for the kiddos. At the RV park, Multiple full hook up and non hook up sites. Amazingly friendly owners and townspeople. Super clean restrooms with showers and access to an indoor full court basketball. We went on Memorial Day Weekend and were able to purchase a fabulous full breakfast, watch a local parade and memorial service at the town cemetery. The speakers were heart felt, sharing personal stories of local residents father's buried in the cemetery that served during WW2 and both were POW's, and made it back to continue their lives in Paradise Valley, complete with the pledge of allegiance and the national anthem played perfectly on a trumpet.

It's flat so it's easy to get in and out, but there's literally nothing here. Nothing in the town nothing. But make sure you fill up with gas across the street before you leave . Again, I would stay here if I had to come back this way because it was convenient. AND we felt SAFE, Only downfall was I didn't like I had to pay five dollars extra for a shower. but other than that, everything was OK. Just some advice. I would get a spot for the doggies. My dogs need to use the restroom and luckily I carry potty pad because I have Chihuahuas. It would've been terrible to put them on that gravel. .

The cabin barely met our needs, and the location is beautiful. Unfortunately, a reservation misunderstanding left a very negative impression. Throughout our email correspondence, I consistently referred to our stay as a three-night reservation. When requesting new dates, I specifically asked to arrive Monday and depart Thursday, intending a three-night stay. At no point was I told that the reservation would remain a four-night booking despite the date change. After our stay, I requested a refund or credit for the unused night, explaining the misunderstanding and providing the email history. The resort declined, stating that the reservation remained subject to its cancellation policy and that no further consideration would be given. I acknowledge that I should have caught the discrepancy in the confirmation, but I believe this was a genuine mutual misunderstanding. What disappointed me most was not the policy itself, but the unwillingness to offer any goodwill accommodation or future-stay credit despite the circumstances. The property is marginal, but prospective guests should carefully review every reservation confirmation and any reservation changes, as policies appear to be enforced very strictly.

They have any and everything you could need. The ranch is a nice respite from the city and from the craziness of build, burn and strike week! Thank you guys for everything!
