It was a heady dose of nostalgia for me- it was Carnival time and the decor was reminiscent of New Orleans. The exposed brick and little balcony ringing around the room is cozy to the extreme. Plus "House of the Rising Sun" was playing on the radio. I felt right at home. I had a simple cut but it was the most relaxing process I have ever had. I color my hair at home so Shae gave me some tips for keeping it healthy and vibrant. It was nice not to be overwhelmed with product placement or pushy you-must-color-at-a-salon spiel. I have seen some of Shae's color work on Instagram, and it is vibrant and luscious. Maybe I will have to go back soon and get an upgraded style!
