Robert came up with an absolutely delicious custom menu for us incorporating foods from both our childhoods, with smoked brisket, ceviche spoons, succotash, camarones a la diabla, an absolutely fabulous mole.. they also did a great job making sure we had lots of options for our vegetarian/vegan/halal friends when putting together the choices for our menu. Robert's team put together a really fun arrangement of drinks options and desserts for the event as well, and somehow every selection they made managed to be creative, coherent with the overall menu, presented beautifully, and of course tasty. We got so many compliments on the food/choice of caterer for weeks after the wedding, and several people thanking us explicitly for the variety of options for non-meat eaters, so huge thanks to all the staff who made it happen! Since there happened to be a fridge onsite at our venue, the staff even managed to box up some of the leftovers and put them in a food-safe environment for us (which I've heard from other friends who got married this year is not standard! But we were so grateful to get to take home catering leftovers, since everything was so damn good!) Robert and his staff (Erica and Naomi in particular!) also did a lot of heavy lifting helping us coordinate the overall look and vibe of our wedding day! However my personal experience with them was at a summer wedding I attended at a Marin venue with an awesome ocean view. I was mightily impressed. The service staff did a truly excellent job getting the food out and keeping the wine flowing and the ambiance friendly and upbeat. But the menu - the menu was sensational. First some luscious appetizers: crab-mango-avocado tostaditas, then South American corn blinis and, finally a couple kinds of Empanadas with great dipping sauces. The entree course was masterful - hands down the most flavorful seafood-duck n' chicken paella I've ever tasted, a very distinctive vegetarian tamale pie, a kind of Mexican lasagna with layers of corn tortillas, cheeses, rich spicy tomato sauce and mushrooms, spinach and corn. Last, but definitely not least - grass-fed leg of lamb, mesquite grilled on site, cooked perfectly rare and tender, with a hellaciously good chimichurri sauce - OMG!!! The groom told me how happy he was with the pricing considering the impressive level of cuisine and GigaBites' quality, sustainable sourcing. Antoinette was great about turning our vision into a reality, and she was very attuned with our style, budget and hopes for the event. We had a great time planning it all, and when the night actually arrived it was amazing to see how beautifully it all came together. 2) Sean and the food team - AMAZING. I am a food lover, and wanted many different kinds of food at our wedding. We had a world survey of food - and it was fantastic. Quoting all of my guests, "that was the best food I've ever had at a wedding, and maybe even ever." People are still talking about it. I am still dreaming about it. 3)Michael The Day of Coordinator and the staff: So incredibly professional, on point, warm, personable, and easy to work with. Great at taking care of the guests without being too noticeable.
